Embark on an amazing journey through the untamed wilderness of Joshua Tree National Park with this off-road tour. Led by an incredibly passionate guide, this adventure promises an unforgettable experience filled with adrenaline-pumping excitement and great storytelling. From the moment we set off, it was evident that our guide's deep connection to the park would enrich our exploration. As we traversed rugged trails and rocky terrain, our skilled driver navigated with precision, providing us with an up-close and personal encounter with the park's breathtaking landscapes. Each stop along the way was an opportunity to delve into the park's rich history and unique ecology, thanks to our guide's insightful commentary and engaging anecdotes. Whether it was learning about the ancient Joshua trees that dot the landscape or marveling at the geological wonders carved by millennia of natural forces, every moment was filled with wonder and discovery. One of the most memorable aspects of the tour was the chance to visit breathtaking viewpoints amidst the desert expanse. These tranquil sanctuaries offered a serene retreat from the adrenaline-fueled excitement of our off-road adventure, allowing us to connect with nature on a deeper level. With safety as a top priority throughout the journey, we were able to fully immerse ourselves in the experience, knowing that we were in capable hands. Overall, this off-road tour in Joshua Tree National Park is a must-do for anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure filled with thrills, beauty, and unforgettable memories.

For two previous trips in August, the Earthquake Canyon Bike Adventure didn't make, but this year, a few days before flying out there, I got word that it would, so I was thrilled! I was one of ten (a family of 6 from the UK, with the youngest child being 12, and a dad and two grown kids) who got to experience this ride. On the ride out, I learned a lot about the area from our knowledgeable guide, Raul, and then we were set up to ride. I loved having the freedom to ride it as we wanted while having the security of a sag wagon and a lead vehicle. They carried water, first aid stuff and extra bikes. The ride starts in the truest picture of desert, but eventually winds down through a beautiful canyon that surrounds you on both sides. I stopped to take pictures at a few spots. Although it was considered downhill, you had to pedal and the wind came along with you, but I was honestly lost in the environment and changing scenery. I used the Strava app to calculate speed and distance and the ride was 18.57 miles. I finished it in 57 minutes and then backtracked to find the group and got an extra 7 miles in.Coming down into Mecca, you can see the Saltan Sea off to the left and that was cool. Mecca is an agriculture oasis and it was also our stopping point. The next stop, after rehydrating, was to the Oasis Date Farm where we had a delicious date shake. Great ride! I would do it again! Thanks Big Wheel!

If I could give Kolin with Big Wheel Tours 100 stars, I would do it!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about our trip with him touring the San Andreas fault and hiking the slot canyons. Kolin’s wealth of knowledge teamed with his genuine kindness made for a day my family and I will never forget. My husband, our sons (14 and 11) and I learned so much about California and all around the Palm Dessert area. He never rushed us, he came prepared with snacks and drinks a plenty and he truly sought to give us a once in a lifetime experience. If you are narrowing down possible tours to take I would HIGHLY recommend this tour and ESPECIALLY Kolin if you’re lucky enough to get him. To top it all off, my son left his phone charger in Kolin’s truck and he drove all the way back to Palm Dessert and dropped off the charger at the restaurant he knew we had reservations for later that night! What a kind and unexpected gesture! We are forever grateful for our experience with Kolin!
