Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in Palmdale

My kids & I have been anticipating the grand opening of this pizza place since the sign came up & it didn't disappoint one bit! So far we've tried, their pizzas, wings & salad bar. Their prices are reasonable, especially for their portion sizes & the food is delicious! I like that they don't skimp out on pizza toppings (HUGE +) & their wings have a nice crisp & aren't fatty. They have a nice size salad bar with great options & they keep it nice & clean. The restaurant overall is really spacious & tidy. They have a small arcade room where kids can play while you wait for your food to come out. They also serve beer & have TVs, so this will most likely be my spot to watch the games. Customer service is 10/10, staff is attentive & go above & beyond to make sure you leave satisfied. This is definitely our new pizza spot now. Decided to try Mountain Mikes yesterday for something different. I ordered two medium pizzas and a mozzarella stick for a little over $80. Didn’t think much of it because the reviews were excellent. I went to pick it up. Cashiers were friendly and it was a really cute family atmosphere. I was highly disappointed with the pizzas. The toppings of the meat pizza were burnt and dry. Some of the bites were good but a lot of them were too dry. The pizza sauce to cheese ratio was what really got me. The pizza was more red than white from the cheese. Couldn’t really taste the cheese and the sauce was overpowering and sweeter than I’m used to. Crust was just ok. Had a nice crisp to it but flavor was mediocre. Way too much sauce and such a small amount of cheese. All around, I’d say a poor experience ESPECIALLY when two medium pizzas and a mozzarella...

I ordered two small pizzas and the order was made incorrectly. When I called to have it fixed, I was told they would only give me one large pizza with half-and-half toppings to make up for it.

That doesn’t match what I paid for: two smalls cost more than one large and give more slices (20 slices for two smalls vs 14 slices for one large), so I ended up with less food even though I paid more.

Mistakes happen, but the way it was handled felt unfair. Instead of making things right, they offered a cheaper, smaller replacement that still let them save money while I lost out. A good business should prioritize making sure the customer actually receives what they paid for.

Also, the churros did not have any cinnamon sugar on them. Quality and order checking does not exist at this...
