Horrible! Sizzler was a well oil machine before. Well the one in Palmdale was until they closed for what seemed like a year. We went in today, all the prices went up for the same menu. My kids got the salad bar, mostly everything was empty. Waited for the ribs for a good 20+ mins. I went to get clam chowder it was empty, I told a worker who seemed annoyed that I interrupted her personal conversation to ask if they were going to put more clam chowder out since there was no more. With a very annoyed expression she said "ok I'll fill it up soon" I'm getting annoyed because it wasn't a handout I paid extra for that soup. Well more time passed till they finally brought it out. I go serve my self a bowl and there is 2 empty containers where the spoon are supposed to be. I told 2 workers they didn't bring any out. I told my sever and took her 10 mins to bring me a spoon for my now cold soup. My steak and lobster arrived before I even finished my soup. The steak thatipaid extra for a bigger piece was pathetic. It looked like a long noodle instead of a steak. I was like "seriously is this an 8 oz steak"? She didn't know and said she would find out. She asked to cut into it to see if it was cooked right. I ordered it medium well it was over cooked. Basically it was ruined but I didn't want to wait an eternity for a pathetic excuse of a steak. My lobster was cold in the middle which proves it wasn't fresh it was frozen. At this point I just wanted to leave already. There is so much more to say cuz the situation never improved but I don't feel like rambling on. I have no ans on ever going back. They didn't back any of the old staff who at least knew how to run the place. My advice is stay away! You will be disappointed. Paid more for horrible...
Read moreUpdate: adding onto my original review I still don't think Sizzler is worth a huge amount of enthusiasm but they are reliable and I did find if you only want soup you can get that for a lower rate than the full salad bar. Those recovering from holiday hangover and the mix of pathogens your relatives brought you for Christmas know that it's a very nice little place where you can eat and feel the 1980s and 1990s slip back into your veins for a little while. I would be sad to see it go. If not for the fact it's at a major intersection, I don't think it would've persisted this long. It's a good little place even though its time is way past but your grandparents will enjoy it.
I went to sizzler for the first time in many years and it was about the same experience I expected with the prices changing roughly with inflation unfortunately. My problem is the solid bar doesn't feel like it's worth $16 at this point when there are similar options at places like Shakeys and at the Chinese buffets. I am glad that I didn't get sick and it's good that you can get an entrée and add on the salad bar for just around 7 1/2 dollars but the price of most of the entrées is more exclusive and expensive than the sense I get from Sizzler. It's not quite up to the quality of a decent steakhouse but asks for a price that suggest that it should be put there. It's basic mid and I wish they were more deals that allowed people to get more for...
Read moreEdit: The place has reopened, I’m a little disappointed that I NOW received an email for the 4.99 salad bar but the week I went in was charged the regular price. Anyways. Not much changed except their salad bar which looks great, food options seem to have gotten smaller in the hot foods section, looks like they took out the carnitas and the onion rings. For $13 bucks. It’s not worth it. I think they should keep the buffet price at $10 bucks with a beverage. I mean even Souplantation isn’t as expensive and has much more. I’m a little disappointed, I’d be willing to pay 13 IF they had more options in the buffet and if it included a drink. I grew up coming to sizzlers now I bring my family in ,but I’m just not sure anymore if this is where I want to spend my money to get so little.
I love their endless salad bar, the only issue I must point out is maybe switching out foods that have been there too long , or not using such huge buckets to place the food making it sit there longer, for example the olives didn’t look at all fresh to me, as well as other salad bar toppings. I feel it’s better to have a smaller jar so that we can keep refilling with FRESH food rather than placing the new on top of the old. I’d get the manager to check in on that. I’m EXTREMELY picky with these things. But the five stars is strictly because I...
