Five stars for the food! Have been looking for a great indian restaurant in the Lehigh Valley. So many seem to come and go. Aman's is so overpriced and strange and the food is inconsistent, but the restaurant is beautiful. Aroma Authentic Indian Cuisine, on the other hand, is in a mall and really feels like it is with large front windows looking out into the mall. Don't go here for the atmosphere, go here for the amazing food! We absolutely loved everything we ordered. Had both chicken and veg samosas. I thought the chicken samosas would be boring but they were amazingly flavorful as were the veggie ones. The outer pastry was crisp and flaky. Maybe the best I've ever had. We also tried the aloo tikki chaat... WOW so good! Huge portion. This is a meal in itself.
For entrees, my husband got butter chicken and I got the mutter paneer. Both were creamy and full of gorgeous warm flavors. I ordered mild/medium and husband ordered medium. We both thought we could have gone one spice level higher. The basmati rice was perfect as was the garlic naan which was so fresh with lightly charred/crisp edges. We had lots of food left for lunches for the next few days!
The service was kind of slow for a restaurant that only had two other tables of diners. It took a long time to get menus and be waited on. But damn, was it worth the wait. After we ordered, the food seemed to come out at a nice pace. I think we found our new favorite Indian place! Try it—just be patient and know good food is coming your way! Overall, we...
Read moreAs a long time Desi Bites fan, my first dine in experience was a huge disappointment. Service is close to non existent to the point of being comical.
Our first appetizer arrived after 30 minutes without cutlery, napkins, or plates. Our ordered drinks never arrived besides two cups of tea after 45 minutes.
After an hour and 15 minutes, we received one entree out of 4. After an hour and 45 minutes (not exaggerating) one of our entrees that we ordered was delivered to a table that was only there for 20mins. I'm assuming this was a friend of the owner, judging from all the 5 star reviews from people that are clearly connected to the business. We walked out after 2 hours without being served half of the food we ordered.
In it's current state I wouldn't recommend anyone invest time in dine-in. Their food is excellent so stick with takeout and avoid the frustration. Unless you're connected to the owner of course, in which case you'll be served your food promptly ahead of everyone else.
I've read many reviews about hours long wait time at restaurants and I never thought I'd be the idiot in that situation, but today proved me wrong. It's embarrassing to bring family to a restaurant only to have an experience as poor as this was. If it wasn't Sunday night we would've walked after an hour but we wanted to stick with it since the food was supposedly being prepared already. Learn from our mistake and do not...
Read moreFood: ★★★★★ The food is undoubtedly the highlight of this restaurant. Every dish is crafted with meticulous care, offering rich and well-balanced flavors & a mind you a big portion! I tired vegetarian for a change & indulged in the Vada Pav, Daal Chaval with garlic naan, and concluded with a chai. True to its name, Aroma delivered an aromatic and delightful experience. The Vada Pav transported me back to the vibrant streets of Mumbai, while the Daal Chaval with garlic naan was soft, fluffy, and perfectly complemented the daal. The meal concluded with an aromatic Indian masala chai, which was simply superb.
Value for Money: ★★★★★ Aroma is an absolute gem! With exceptional food quality and generous portion sizes, it offers excellent value for your money. It's the ideal place to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine without breaking the bank. Overall, Aroma takes you on a fantastic culinary journey that will satisfy your taste buds and leave you craving more. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a delicious and fulfilling dining experience! I will definitely go back & try the...
