Fat boy ricks Burgers — Restaurant in Palmetto Bay

Fat Boy Ricks was part of a series of food truck experiences that my girlfriend and I have been taking in Miami. We went on a Thursday afternoon and there wasn’t too many people to where it felt cramped.

Spent about $20/25 per person including the apps.

Highly recommend the Friday burger if you’re looking for a sweet and savory mix, the AM Burger if you’re starving, and the truffle fries are an excellent choice overall.

Burgers were very filling, while the patty was average (Still good but nothing to write home about) however the toppings raise it to a slightly above average overall rating.

The fries however were the true star of the show. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the interior. I ended up eating almost all the fries before touching my burger. Texture and flavor were TOP notch. The only downside would be the quantity of the fries per serving. Truffle fries are $7 and pictured below is the untouched amount that they serve. It’s a bit lacking but frankly I’d still return just to try them again, so somewhat worth the price.

Oh my goodness the Friday Burger was amazing. I got a double because I was hungry. But it was sooo delicious. The union of guava sauce bacon pepper jack cheese that yummy soft bun. This was a tasty burger, that everyone should try. And the truffle fries were yummy too. Let's talk about customer service it was late & they were I'm sure finishing up for the night. My friend & I wanted to get a good burger. So I checked for burgers near me and Fat Boy Ricks Burgers was close. We stopped by & I asked if they were still open. their reply was " we were waiting for you" But Rick was great, excellent people skills good eye contact. He explained the menu, told us what he recommended, overall super nice guy. The other men in the truck were great too. I highly recommend you try them. I’m usually a bit skeptical when it comes to food trucks because, let’s be real, it can sometimes be a hit or miss. But today, I’m happy to say this one was a complete hit! The burgers were absolutely delicious, and the fries? Fresh and crispy, just the way I love them.

I went for the AM burger first, and wow, it was packed with flavor. Then I tried the whiskey burger, and it didn’t disappoint either. The whiskey sauce gave it a unique, rich kick that really set it apart from your usual burger. Both burgers were juicy, cooked just right, and full of toppings that added to the overall experience.
