I have always loved PF Chang's, but I must say it has gone downhill and downhill fast. I don't know how many more chances I will give them, if any. First, let me state my 2 stars for service has nothing to do with the actual server. He is great. However, the place is practically empty and it took at least 6-7 minutes just to come get our drink order. There are only 2 other tables in the whole place with diners at them. We went ahead and ordered our drinks and 2 appetizers because, from more recent past experiences, we know it may take a while if we just ordered drinks first. The first appetizer came out in a reasonable amount of time. However, it took 10 extra minutes for us to even get to tell someone we haven't gotten the 2nd appetizer and to get refills on our drinks. We did wait to order our food because the last time we put in the order within minutes of each other, the food came out before the appetizer. Food was pretty good, but it appears it's not as good as before. I would have previously given 5 stars. I was tempted to give 3 instead of 4, but it was still pretty good so I gave 4. I still love their ambiance, but being empty is discouraging. Is everyone else tired of the long waits to get served and getting food with such little patrons to occupy the kitchen and staff? Definitely not getting the same quantity as before. Cynics will blame it on politics and the purple unicorn. This has gone on for over the last 2 years at least. Unfortunately, during my last visit I had to leave without being able to eat here. First the host, directed me towards the only table that is right in front of the restroom. One I asked for another seating option (because plenty seats and booth were free) the host said that they have lots of reservations and that those tables and booths were not available. I was seated at the other side of the restaurant, where I left after 10 minutes of no service. I was not even acknowledge or provided with a glass of water or refreshment of any sort. The waiter passed by me and quickly announced: 'I will be right with you' five minutes later I walked out. While exiting, I explained to the host that I was leaving due to the lack of service. The host was leaning towards the front desk while another waiter caressed her neck with his fingertips. I announced that I was leaving and that I would be writing a review online. She said: 'I'm sorry', meanwhile as I walked out I hear the waiter who was supposed to attend to me scream to her: 'It was only 4 minutes'. The staff seamed unprepared and unsupervised, just my impression. There is a happy ending I walked a bit more and found SOKAI SUSHI BAR. I will add some amazing photos.. the second I walked thru their door I was offered to seat anywhere I wanted and a glass of water was provided immediately. Read moreWe made a reservation online for our large group. We got a text confirmation that they accepted it so we were good to go. We arrive on time only to be waiting for our table. Thankfully we didn’t wait too long but still this unpreparedness was to be the projection for the whole night. We came in at 7:30PM, and left at 10pm. Our poor server was alone taking care of our group of 9, and plus his other tables. I was looking around for staff and they didn’t make eye contact or come close to our table. So I couldn’t ask for assistance. I noticed many tables of about 6 people come in, and get serviced by two people. Get their food and refills and head out within the hour. There was a waiter or waitress and someone running around refilling drinks. The establishment in my opinion failed our poor waiter. He was hustling and doing his best but he was new and alone. We waited so long for everything, drink refills, apps and our food. No one helped our waiter and there was plenty of help around as we saw staff helping other tables that were very small and didn’t need that assistance. We made reservations for a birthday too in which no one cared or followed up with us regards to the request. I don’t think we will be back after this experience.
