I had the pleasure of visiting Pummarola Pizza recently and was welcomed by a host by the name of Michael who truly embodies Italian warmth and hospitality. From the moment I stepped inside, he greeted me with a genuine smile and a friendly, open demeanor that immediately put me at ease. It was clear he was proud of the restaurant he represents.

Throughout my stay, he managed to strike that perfect balance between attentive and unobtrusive, making sure I had everything I needed without ever feeling pressured or rushed. His knowledge of the menu was impressive—he spoke passionately about the dishes and their origins, helping me select the perfect meal to suit my tastes.

A Slice of Italy That Took Me Back Home My experience at this pizzeria was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with unmistakable aroma of truly authentic Italian pizza. Each bite transported me back to my childhood in Italy—the thin, perfectly blistered crust, the rich tomato sauce, and the high-quality ingredients brought back memories I didn’t know I missed so deeply.

To make it even more memorable, we met a wonderful guy named Michael, who was already off the clock but still took the time to greet us warmly and chat with us about the different pizzas and how much he enjoys working there. His friendliness and passion for the place added a personal touch that made the whole experience even more special.

The authenticity of the pizza here is rare to find, especially outside of Italy. It’s not just food—it’s a feeling, a connection to tradition. I only wish they had one of my all-time favorites: mortadella with pistachio, pesto, and mozzarella. That would have made the experience absolutely perfect. Still, everything I tried was outstanding, and I can’t wait to return.

I have no words to describe the deliciousness that Pummarola makes, it is almost like being in Naples, Italy (which is where my mother's from and where my second home is). To have the tastes of home in Miami is a dream come true. The margherita pizza was perfect in salt and the dough, the dough was not heavy at all; and the crust was just the right texture and flavors. You can only tell it's not from Naples, Italy, because the tomatoes and all the ingredients are not from there. I also had a panuozzo with prosciutto di parma (really good!!), on a bed of arugola and parmigiano (parmesan cheese). And their bread was also as close to home made bread I've had in Naples as possible. The pictures that I took don't do justice to the flavors. If there were 10 stars for this review, I'd give them that. I will definitely be ordering again, and PS the minestrone was also good, but I didn't personally eat that, which is why it's not...
