Mekong Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Palmetto Bay

Went recently because my mother used to love it years back so it was going to be a bit of nostalgia… I’m giving a 4/5 on service because they were up to par in that regard. Upon entering the restaurant for pick up we were waiting for our food(not for long to their credit) but saw the lady look down at something/someone behind the counter and say “sit, sit, sit.” Honestly I still need context and I’m just praying it was just a child back there and not what most reasonable minds would assume🤞🏿 ,not To make mention the smell of the ambiance and the dirty unoccupied shoes back there as well. The food also wasn’t packaged properly to common standard. Subsequently & respectfully We didn’t accept the food and went elsewhere thus for I cannot comment on the quality or taste of it. honestly I cannot and will not recommend eating here and I hope they get slight details together. This just honestly seems to be a case of complacency, negligence & a lack of respect. These issues are small and easily fixable but judging on the presentation of the front of house, it wouldn’t be an unfair assumption to believe that the back of house is in any better condition. Nonetheless, this is just speculation as far a recommendation. Based on the other reviews though, they seem to be positive in regards to the food… in my opinion the food did not look too...

Placed An Order For Delivery Had To Call A Couple Of Times But It's Friday So You Know They Must be Busy finally Got Thru Had A Problem With Getting Order Place Lady On The Other End Couldn't Understand What I Was Saying It Was Ok I Deal With Diversity On A Day To Day Basis Finally Get Order Placed.... Now I Have Ordered From Them Before No Problem.... I Was Told Delivery Time Would Be 45 Minutes To An Hour Ok It's Early And Again It's Friday.... Food Gets Here And My Grandson Goes To The Door Teaching Him How To Do Business,Well He Said The Delivery Guy Would Not Give Him The Food Until He Gave Him A TIP.... He Didn't Tell Me Until The Guy Had Left.... Mind You I Had Given My Grandson $5.00 To Tip So I Let My Grandson Know That In The Future Let Him Keep The Food And Close The Door.... Well I Called The Restaurant To Lodge A Complaint I Was Told Did I Want To Call Back And I Don't Have To Order From Them Again I Kindly Informed Her I Did Not Need Permission Not To Order From Them And I Wouldn't Be Ordering From Them Ever Again:...

I came in recovering from a surgery and trying to buy soup. Only soup. And 2 double orders but only 2 fortunes. I was disappointed to find no really vege options but still wanted soup for my family and that doesnt affect my rating although it's bad pratice in the world the way it is. I walked over since they're our neighbors. The lady informed me that it would take 15 mins over the phone and I made it there in about 5 walking. As I stood there sniffling and waiting it took far more than 20 more minutes and she literally had to pour the soup is all. I will never return. It was rude and ridiculous. The other orders she made first while I waited all included hot items that were freshly prepared while mine was already ready just sitting for who knows how long in a big pot. One of those orders even included the same exact kind of soup but that wasnt when I was served I had to wait for that order to complete and another before she even started mine. The soup was ok...
