I don't even know where to start with this review. I ordered one Tostada, one beef empanada & one cafe con leche & was totally shell shocked when the 15 employees had no idea what I was talking about. I politely asked for the manager and both of them had no idea what I was talking about. I ordered several times expressing myself in a very clear manner. I really thought It was April fools day and the employees were playing a joke on me in which would have been really funny. But, they weren't playing a joke on me and nobody understood me. I was really dumbfounded and this is ignorance at its highest level. So, If you don't speak Spanish then please don't waste your time because the staff along with the management don't care to learn the basics of the English language. This is not Hialeah or Little Havana where it's expected nobody will speak a stitch of English. This is Palmetto Bay and it's a mix of ethnicities. So, once again, please don't waste your time If you don't speak Spanish and take your business to Pinecrest Bakery which is only ten minutes south on US 1 because that's what I did. At Pinecrest Bakery; they actually do speak English and are very nice. I remember a couple of months ago I went to the same Soriano Brothers and I had to take the manager outside to the sidewalk to point to the combo dish that was being displayed at the time. I thought It was funny so I didn't really think much of it. But, It's not funny because this establishment doesn't care about their non spanish speaking customers. The owners should be ashamed of themselves as well as the management to keep allowing this to happen. Btw, at Pinecrest Bakery you won't be harassed by the crackheads, bums & wild dogs looking for handouts and food. Soriano Brothers should hire security for the safety of...
Read moreMy family & I went for lunch after church to Soriano Brothers Cuban Cuisine in Palmetto Bay, FL . They have dine-in, takeout & delivery, but we decided to dine-in because we missed yesterday’s Grand Opening & went today. The atmosphere was a refreshing environment , a good vibe! The place is pretty with nice windows. The food is Authentic Cuban Style Dishes. People from everywhere were there, since we are all here in Miami international & like variety. Everything looked so delicious & tasted even better!! We each had a different meat, rice & beans & sweet plantains, yuca, pumpkin & Cuban tamales. We got hooked with the tamal samples, they gave us while waiting on line, that we had to purchase them - good idea to allure you to buying it! We ate croquetas too to try them because we wanted to try everything! We also had sodas & malta , Cuban coffee colada & great desserts & left content! We will give them Five Stars!!! The place is in a great location on 180th St. & US1. The prices are affordable, they have a big menu & it’s a Family oriented place. You can eat , breakfast, lunch & dinner. The service is fast , efficient , nice employees with a smile & the place is clean & new of course! They did great with the construction & you can eat inside & outside with good parking. Considering the weather channels were saying there was a tornado watch since we woke up (today Sun. Apr. 30th) - no matter what MIAMI has to eat ! Wind, rain or not we will surely be coming back to try different variety of the foods, that they have! So much to choose from fresh, appealing , tasty & affordable! We recommend them & have eaten at their other places too! Sorianos we love your family &...
Read moreI have decided to review this new location for Sorianos Brothers. I love Sorianos Brothers in Homestead, but this new location in Palmetto Bay needs a lot of opportunities for improvements. Let's discuss Cuban food. We ordered 4 completas of different meats and two rices, Moro and Congri. It was a disappointment. Food did not have the savory taste of Cuban cuisine. Moro had way too much coloring and no taste. Congri had an odd taste of the best way I can describe it was some what plastic, they also added a spicy sausage not at all what Cuban's add to Congri. Pork was the worst I have ever had, and this was strange as pork meet tends to have a natural flavor, but this lacked the Cuban flavor of seasoning with Citrus. Carne con Papa and Fricase de Puerco was ok, just not as good as their other locations. However, the service was great, the place looks great, but once they get their cooks and kitchen seasoned, there will be no parking spaces left open. If they can cook as well as Sorianos Brother in Homestead, I am going to love it. I will allow a few month to pass and try them again and see if I can update this review with a five-star.
Update, I have been back several times and even spoken to the owners. I can advise that there have been great improvements in their kitchen. Even their menue have increased, and the flavor of their food is just as good as the location in Homestead. I can't wait for them to add Cantina to their offering. For these reasons, I updated my original review from 1 star to four stars. Their customer service exceeded my expectations time over time for the type of business. I will continue to return and see how they...
