I've been here twice now and I absolutely LOVE these bagels. They have a really nice chew to them without being overly chewy if that makes sense. The lox spread is amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try. The parking lot can get a little crazy but overall not terrible parking at all. Everyone is super nice and friendly. There's no dine in area as this place is rather small but there are a couple of tables outside. The only thing I would say is ALWAYS double check your order. The first time we went, we did a bigger online order and they couldn't find it, once they found the order they attempted to give me not even half the order, when I brought to their attention, they said that was all on the order and then said it didn't come through on the receipt and were able to locate it. The second time, I ordered at the counter and they almost didn't give me the tube fish salad that was ordered because it didn't come through initially. They are always super nice about it but just make sure you have your receipt and double check. I know it's not malicious in any ways but more an annoyance if you were to get home and be missing items. It won't deter me from going back at all, truly...
Β Β Β Read moreI spent $18 on a lox bagel. I. Spent. $18. On. A. Bagel. Was it good, you ask? Eh. So I couldn't fathom after receiving my Everything bagel lox sandwich (toasted, of course) what the hype was about this place. The bagel was thinner than I anticipated and had sweet undertones. It was LATHERED beyond belief in cream cheese with just a few slices of lox, red onion and capers...I asked for no tomato that comes with it (I ordered the Classic) and asked for cucumbers, which cost a bit more unfortunately to make this switch. Overall, it was an insane amount of cream cheese with little lox. They need to adjust their ratio significantly here. Also, I'll note that I clearly missed the morning rush (by the time I arrived), hence no line, yet there was still ample staff on hand standing around doing nothing. π€ Sorry, but I can't justify $18 for a "meh-quality" bagel a few slices of lox with little to no capers, and an added upcharge for some cucumbers. I will not return...overpriced...
Β Β Β Read moreI recently visited Boichik Bagels with high hopes, but unfortunately, the overall experience left me underwhelmed. While the customer service was a highlightβJonathan in particular was incredibly kind and helpfulβthe food itself didnβt quite meet expectations.
The everything bagel I ordered was fairly standard and lacked the distinct flavor or texture I was hoping for. Additionally, it wasnβt as toasty as I prefer, which impacted the overall bite. I paired it with chive cream cheese, which ended up being overly salty, overpowering the bagel rather than complementing it.
Despite the lackluster food experience, the friendly and attentive service helped balance things out. Because of that, Iβm bumping my 2-star food experience to 3 stars overall, thanks to the excellent customer interaction.
Iβm hoping for a better...
