We had actually stopped at the bank next door and noticed that they had outdoor seating and dogs were allowed, so we decided to eat here. So glad that we did. It did take a little longer to get the food than anticipated. It was pretty empty inside and lots of kitchen personnel so we expected it to be faster but I think they do a lot of takeout orders?? So be prepared to wait for longer than you may expect but it's worth the wait. You order and they give you a buzzer to come back to get your food. I had the ahi poke tacos and they were delicious. My only criticism would be that they should put the sauce on top of the cabbage , directly under the tuna, instead of in the bottom of the shell. It's kind of dry. Next time I will ask for extra sauce but would definitely get the same thing. My wife got the kimchi burger, it comes with an egg on it and she also said that she would likely get the same. My mom got a cheeseburger with grilled onions and my brother got a cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms, they were both very satisfied with them. They each got fries which were nice and hot but lacked seasoning. So be sure to ask for salt packets or maybe order the garlic fries instead. I do think it's ridiculous for 2 drinks to be only a dollar cheaper than 2 fries, given that I used to work at Coca Cola and know the cost of syrup, I just don't understand how in the world restaurants have managed to drive their fountain drink prices up to the ridiculous prices they charge these days. A fountain drink should Not cost 4 bucks!! It's madness! I digress, anyway, the food is great, outdoor area is covered with large picnic tables. They have a water station indoors with lots of indoor seating and they have clean bathrooms.

The food here is solid. The kimchi burger is absolutely worth getting, they've got all the beer you need, the frosรฉ is awesome, and the kids' corn dogs are on point.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are a hair steep but it's Palo Alto so what do you want.

On its face this is an obvious four or five stars for a Google review. So why three?

We've placed three orders here, and they just cannot manage to get them right. We're a family of four so it's not like the law of large numbers is at work.

First order: our kiddo wants lettuce and onions on her kids' cheeseburger. It's an alteration of a menu item but an easy one, and it prints on the receipt. Cheeseburger comes out, no toppings. We ask for toppings (hey everyone makes mistakes), wait five minutes at the bar, ask again. By the time the veggies show up all the food is cold.

Second order: we wait 40 minutes for food. We go and check, it's been waiting and is cold. "Oh, I guess the buzzer didn't buzz, our bad." They graciously remake the food...

Third order: the kids' cheeseburger has been converted to a double no-cheese burger, though they do keep the veggies. It's a tasty burger but dry, and tbh not what we ordered.

To their credit, they are willing to fix mistakes, and they keep a smile on while they're doing it. But this is not rocket science.

I like the food but eating here is...

The Sonoma location served me one of the best hamburgers I've ever eaten, this location by comparison is a disappointment.

I agree here during a busy Friday evening which may be part of the problem. The ordering line was out the door and the grill was completely full. Despite what looked like a full staff it took a while for them to get all the registers working on the order line.

I like that there is so much outdoor seating and a pretty good portion are heated. I was surprised how noisy the outdoor environment is, just from people talking.

Picking up my order when the buzzer went off took several minutes. I could see my order sitting there but the server was busy handling a backlog of people returning to the pickup line for utensils.

My hamburger was good, but not the exceptional experience I've come to expect from the brand, not to mention the price. The patty was tasty and tender but a little overcooked. The veg was sparse, I had to lift the bun to confirm there was lettuce and tomato. The cheese didn't cover the patty, the bun was dry, a little squashed on delivery, and maybe under-toasted . Basically every stage in the assembly line left something to be desired.

I will eat here again, as the brand has been good to me in the past and I'm hoping this was not a representative experience for the location, but maybe not on a...
