I'm normally not a fan of chain restaurants but this was a very pleasant surprise! My husband and I decided to try it after walking by and seeing the beautiful patio setting and very fresh and tasty-looking food - and we were not disappointed.
We've come here twice so far for dinner during the week of June 20th, soon after outdoor dining became allowed in the area. Although at the time of this review the Google page for this restaurant says that they do not offer dine-in, I can assure that is not the case. In fact, this restaurant has one of the nicest patio settings in Palo Alto so at the moment it might be my new favorite place for pandemic dining-out.
The atmosphere is very pleasant and the decor is clean, modern, and a little beachy. Everything is well lit with fun string lights for the evening. There is plenty of patio space even for somewhat large groups and lots of small tables for couples.
The staff are currently wearing masks and gloves, and seem to be taking the safety precautions very seriously. I saw several staff members change their gloves and our waiter, Danielle, informed us that she couldn't take our dirty dishes until the end, which made a lot of sense. (Thank you Danielle, you were very kind and helpful!)
And most importantly, the food is just delicious! So far, we've tried a variety of fish tacos and fish & chips, as well as some desserts. The fish tacos have many options and are very flavorful and fresh. The fries include several options like sweet potato and seasoned. Today, we both ordered fish & chips and they were some of the best I've ever had - and I've had them before in Ireland! The fish is moist, creamy, and not overly fishy with a perfectly crisp coating. The slaw was very well seasoned and fresh.
For dessert, I ordered the Hula Brownie Sundae which has a wonderful coconut flavor served with macadamia nut ice cream and delicious hot fudge. It tasted just like a Mounds candy bar in brownie form! I'll definitely be ordering it again.
This restaurant is definitely worth a shot if you enjoy seafood that isn't too fishy, served with interesting flavors and fresh ingredients - in a pleasant, clean atmosphere with lots of...
Read moreGreat open atmosphere as well as nice covered dinning along with large open bar. I ordered a simple 2 pices fish and chips for lunch came along with coleslaw. It was edible that's all I can say. Just a plain ol fish in batter not spectacular just lump of Grease nothing to write back home about. Nothing that screamed I gotta come back here again.
I'm not complaining but just keep In mind the portions are on the small side . Which is good I suppose a good thing but your not going to have food piled high at this place leaving with the belt unbuckled.
The staff was not communicative at all they were but they weren't. They were very friendly though. I like to hear okay sir your waitress will be right with you. I wasn't sure how to order if just go to the bar or if there was even any waitresses.
Employees possibly stressed? I asked for untenciles and in a sort of unprofessional sorta struck a nerve kinda way said "I'm getting them" . Perhaps I miss read her but could I get some ketchup!!?? Oh she dashed out before she could even hear. The uniforms here really blend in with casual clothes so it was little difficult to see who was who I'm trying to make my order with.
I tried to order a beer at the bar and he seemed to purposely turn his back a few times I hate when bartenders do that. I know your busy dude but a little acknowledgement goes a long way.
Food came out really quick
They seem to have very fresh offerings I observed.
I wasn't too pleased to be served what looked like the 5 year olds kids meal of fish and chips. 2 tiny pieces of fish the size of a business card soaked dripping in grease. I suppose I needed to next time order the 4 piece fish sticks instead.
As far as price goes well that along with A beer that had Zero buzz but I suppose that keeps the the citizens in order and from becoming unruly my total came up to $23 dollars not bad price. Sometimes it's difficult to find a good fish and chips sadly I couldn't find it in Palo Alto with a name like Pacific Catch. I'll be back im sure to try some of that 4...

I'm in town for work for an extended period. I had visited the Dublin location and had one of the best meals of my life.
My family was in town visiting me and on their last night I told them I wanted to take them to this amazing restaurant with the best crab mashed potatoes.
We ordered our drinks, food appetizer as we knew they were closing soon. As I walked to the restroom, I noted that the back of the restaurant had only one table and was much warmer. We asked to move and were told absolutely to move.
We sat at the new table and we're brought our appitizer before we had gotten our drinks. We had no plates and had to request them. Calamari was brought to the table without any lemon, even though it is clear it is served with it. We requested it, it arrived when we were 50% done with our meal.
We were finally brought out drinks. Within minutes our meals were brought to our table. The food looked nothing like I had previously. I kept apologizing to my family for the lack of service and the poor food quality.
Our waiter never once followed up with us. The meal was mediocre at best. We kept waiting for the waiter to stop at our table while we watched him repeatedly attended to the ONE other table in the restaurant. If you look at the photos I am attaching, you'll see him in the background while our plates and napkins pile up. We waited for over 20-minutes once we finished our food and our waiter never returned to our table, but he would constantly go the another table and even though we called for him he would ignore us. Subsequently I had to go find a manager and complain on how bad the server was along with the food presentation and quality. The manager did apologize repeatedly to us, as he knew there was not much he could say.
For this being in Pal Alto, you expect a higher quality, but that is for sure not what you get. If your in the area, avoid this location at all cost. The ky way I would ever recommend this location is if they fired the server and the kitchen staff, otherwise chose a...
