Cervantino's Authentic Mexican Restaurant #2 — Restaurant in Palos Township

tl;dr This restaurant messed up the only order I've ever gotten from them TWICE in series. The food was somewhat below average and it took quite a bit longer to prepare than what they had indicated.

I placed an order for pickup and they forgot to include 1 of the 4 meals that I ordered. I realized it when I got home and called to get it corrected. I went all the way back to pick up the missing entree and there wasn't even an apology from the staff. Frustrated at their response and the complete disregard for the inconvenience it caused, I asked how they were going to rectify my inconvenience. The woman working the register didn't respond to me, but instead said a bunch of stuff to another woman in Spanish. The second woman then came over and, as though she knew nothing about the situation that was just communicated to her, asked, "Can I help you?" I explained the situation again to her, and she was very open to compensating us for the inconvenience by giving us a frozen popsicle. When I got home, I realized they made the order incorrectly and didn't include any meat. Very frustrating. To the manager's credit, he expressed he was sorry and sought to correct the situation.

Beyond that, the food was somewhat below average in terms of quality and flavor. It also took about 15 minutes longer than they quoted us to prepare the food even though they didn't appear busy as there was only one other customer in the restaurant the entire time we were...

We walked in with sky-high expectations, and WOW—this place absolutely delivered! This isn’t your run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurant. Sure, they’ve got the classics you know and love, but they also serve up unique dishes that’ll completely blow your mind.

Luis, the mastermind behind it all, clearly pours his heart and soul into every dish. His passion for food shines through with every bite. Trust me—ask for his recommendations and just go with it. You won’t regret it.

The food? Out of this world! The guacamole is next-level—like, insane. The pot roast tacos? Yes, you heard that right—POT ROAST tacos! Tender, juicy, and completely unforgettable. It’s a brilliant twist you didn’t know you needed. The carbon tacos are another absolute win.

And then there’s the green creamy enchiladas. Oh my goodness—these are a whole new level of amazing. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, they’re the kind of dish you’ll be talking about for days.

And let’s not forget the tamales—homemade jalapeño and cheese, plus chicken tamales so good they’ll haunt your dreams. We couldn’t resist taking six more home with us.
