Under The Boardwalk Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

So, where do I even begin with this review. So, my granddaughter and I were staying at Boardwalk Beach Resort Condos for the past 4 days. On day 2 of our stay we had a VERY long day on the Grand Mere Dolphin cruise (which was fantastic) We got back to the condo and my granddaughter couldn't wait to get down to beach and the pools. So down we went. After a couple of hours went by we were hungry. While we in the hot tub closest to the restaurant the food smelled terrific and got to talking to another lady that said the burgers were fabulous. It was time for the 10 minute break (6:50 pm to be exact!) So we decided to just walk over to the restaurant area to have a bite to eat so we would not have to leave the condo for a second time that day. Well, we walked over there were many tables open, live music was playing apparently it was a married couple but anywho all we wanted to do was eat. I stood there for a while not knowing of I seat myself or if we wait to be seated. So I asked the waitress (an older lady with blonde curly hair) I asked her do we seat ourselves. She never spoke a word. Just nodded. So I told my granddaughter to pick out a table. She is 6 so that is a highlight for her LOL. We sat down. And we sat, and sat, and sat. The waitress (the older lady with blonde curly hair) was apparently the only person working the tables. NEVER acknowledged us. Never said one single word. Finally my 6 year old granddaughter looked at me and said GiGi can we just go eat Mexican because we are gonna starve to death here. At first I tried to tell my granddaughter that maybe the waitress was just busy ( giving the benefit of the doubt) but then the husband and wife duo musicians were being asked ro play some Joan Jett. Which I was ready to hear. But then the male (husband) made a comment that the song needed to be PG due to children in the area and looked right at our table. So basically that was my que to leave. So we left. My thing is 1. The waitress could have acknowledged us in some way like hi I will be right with you. That did not happen and 2. The musicians weren't worried about ALL the children in the pool area located literally right behind them! 3. I was so upset because now I had ro leave the premises to get food.! When all I wanted to do was eat and relax back by the pool.

Your restaurant needs to do better. If you don't want children there then you are on the wrong property. It is family oriented at the Boardwalk Beach Condos so I would figure that would mean good food, good atmosphere and convenience all in one. Well I do not know how good the food was and the atmosphere was not warming in the restaurant area and I felt completely defeated. All I wanted to do was get some food.

Was gonna try to give the restaurant a second chance the next day but saw the same waitress working and the same live musicians playing and said nope! Not going through that again. So I will NEVER even attempt to try your restaurant. I will order pizza or go to McDonald's before I spend a dime at your restaurant. No matter...

I brought my neighbors grand daughter to the pool and to eat at the grill. We were told that the children have to get out of the pool every hour for 10 minutes..... we got in and in 15 minutes it was time to get out. This rule is ridiculous! Then security said we couldn't stay in the nice pool that was 3 feet and had umbrellas and next to the grill. But she said next door was the pool we could go to at the hotel. No rules, but No umbrellas, No grill food. But she proceeded to tell me that I can come back over to the bar and grill when it opens. " Do I really want to spend my money on your food, when we got kicked out and sent to a smaller pool and No 3 feet, only 4,5, and 8. Mold around the edges. No umbrellas, No bar and grill! I'm not mad at the employees. But the managers, corporate people that made that pool rule, it's dumb😬 Anyone reading this, Don't waist your time! We ended up at pineapple Willy's and the beach!...

A really bad experience. We were told by the waitress we would have to sit at the bar to get an order in in a timely matter even though there were only 2 other tables... ok whatever. We ordered, and waited at least 40 minutes for food to come out. Our appetizer came out with the rest of the food. Under a water boil advisory so had to be served bottles but weren’t aware we were being charged. Food was mediocre for a $13 quesadilla. Waitress was the only one there and I felt bad for her but she made several mistakes that we clarified several times. She only checked on us once which was after we were finished with our food. To top it all off, our check book had a literal toenail/fingernail in the pocket. Honestly nothing redeeming...
