We were only allowed 2 parking passes for everyone in our room; not a dealbreaker, but if you will be traveling with a group and bringing more than 2 cars, be prepared to pay a daily fee for parking at a satellite lot
Guests are required to wear wristbands to gain access to the gym/pool that are also inspected and required for entry every time you return to the resort. The issue is that the wristbands were terrible quality. My boyfriend’s fell off after 3 days, mine fell off after 5, and several of our friends’ fell off after just a few days as well. If it falls off and you keep the broken band, you can replace it for free, but if you cannot provide the old band, you are charged $100 to replace the it. AKA, if the band falls off while you are in the ocean, you don’t notice, and you lose it, get ready to fork over another $100
The sheets on one of the beds were covered in tanning products/foundation, which came out after I washed them, leaving me to believe that the sheets from the previous guests were not washed. There were also lots of chip crumbs on the pull-out couch when we arrived. An entire corner of the sleeper sofa’s supports were broken from the frame, so the bottom corner of the mattress would sink through the corner of the frame onto the floor if any weight was applied
The air conditioning was broken or extremely dysfunctional for most of our stay; on the third day, the room peaked at 80 degrees, and we turned the thermostat down to 70 before leaving for dinner. We came back three hours later and the room was still 80 degrees, even though no windows or doors were left open. (And yes, the system was set to “cool”)
The water in the entire building was also turned off for an entire night (with very little notice- one of our FRIENDS from another room had to tell us about it; it was not posted in hallways/elevators to my knowledge), starting at 9pm and ending at 6am, so we had to cancel reservations for a formal dinner since we would not be able to shower/get ready for bed once we would’ve returned.
We also had an incident with resort staff regarding a noise complaint that ended with them threatening to evict us because we had THREE guests from other rooms on our balcony. I will admit fault in that that we were being loud (we were singing karaoke) and likely did deserve the complaint, but given that it was 10pm on a Friday night in Panama City Beach, the staff completely overreacted; it’s not like we were doing this at 3am or throwing a party. They accused us of hiding non-resort guests on our balcony and threatened to walk through the condo and evict us if they found anyone that did not “live” in that room, even though the property owner allowed us to have guests. The staff also refused to leave until they spoke to the primary renter (the person whose name the room was under), who we explained was out at dinner, yet they said that if the primary didn’t come speak to them in two minutes, that we would be evicted. They forced our guests to leave (even though, once again, we were allowed to have guests) and when we said that we would turn the music way down and not sing anymore, they told us that they didn’t believe us and that we had to turn it all off. They treated us like petulant children just because we were young rather than treating us like the adults that we are.
The beach access, pools, and other amenities at Laketown Wharf were just fine, but the issues with our room and staff makes me very hesitant to recommend that...
Read moreWhen traveling on July 22nd to Laketown Wharf we were sent an email stating that there was an urgent matter with our reservation that they weren’t going to be able to accommodate us and our trip had been booked for weeks. Once getting that worked out finally with Expedia and them contacting Laketown Wharf they were going to accommodate us after all. Once arriving and it was after 4pm our room was not ready and we waited in the parking garage in our car till the unit was ready. When arriving the unit was not very clean. The bathrooms were they smelled of bleach but the remainder of the unit had sand on the floors, sand all over the couch and in it, trash under the tables in the living room etc. the comforter in the master bedroom was filthy not dirty but filthy. The fridge was dirty as well and the stove. We contacted Expedia as that’s who we booked through and they were not able to reach the front office. They sent an email as well and never got a respond the entire trip. We would contact Expedia they would contact the resort and they would say to call back, no manager was available to speak and so on. We are due to check out tomorrow the 28th and still never received any type of clean up which we ended up doing ourselves and luckily we brought some thrown blankets from home the kids traveled in the car with because that’s what we used to cover up with our entire trip. Expedia finally reached the resort on the 26th and they stated they never had any complaint which wasn’t the truth and Expedia couldn’t believe they stated that and they weren’t willing to do anything. We are scheduled to checkout tomorrow the 28th and move to another unit through another company that we booked with that’s allowing us an early checkin at noon and so we went to the front desk to see if there was any possible way we could stay the additional two hours in our unit till we could get into the unit we were moving to and the lady at the front desk looked over to the manager and she said who did u book through I stated Expedia she said that’s just a booking company I stated well I’m not sure the company then I didn’t see it like I did on the company we did the 2nd booking through. She said it’s through us and did u contact Expedia I said no and she was VERY RUDE!!! Said checkout is at 10am I said I know that but I know every room isn’t going to be cleaned at 10am. So I called Expedia just to make sure and they had called the resort and got a hold of someone and the manger told them no and that every 30 mins I stayed over past 10am they were charging me $50.00 My sister rented a unit as well and hers was dirty and it was through the resort. She had contact with the owner and she had them come back and clean which they only used Clorox wipes and paper towels. Her room floor and our room floor turned the kids feet black with minutes of being there. The elevators are HORRIBLE!!! Waited a solid 35 mins when coming back from Walmart with groceries. If we hadn’t already had this paid for we would have cancelled our additional nights in the 2nd unit especially after the way the manager treated us for asking a...

We booked this as a quick stay over the weekend. As we live here and needed a much needed break. To our amusement, after paying the prices. Every shop was closed. Nothing open. We were under the impression the pools were heated only to find out that the pools (only one) are only warm enough to not get hypothermia in a sense. Better yet, you would need a high blood alcohol level to remain warm in one. To spend two days in PCB knowing that we could have used this money else where to have a much better and pleasant time is an understatement. There was nothing anywhere stating shops were closed up until spring break time frame, again nothing posted on the website. AT THE WARF. Unfortunately, it would have been the week after we left and paid for a great weekend, WE didn't get it! Let me add, we only started to realize what times and days they opened when we started to try walking to them!! I'm sure yall know how hard it can be to tell your kids littles that the doughnut place they'd been drooling over won't open. After showing videos of it, photos, etc. Granted, we did wait for two days, and it never opened.
I find this to be extremely extremely unprofessional and just downright, not ideal. We had kids with us, and we literally did exactly what we would have done at home. As we were under the impression these shops were open and pools warm, we couldn't even use the ONE hottub because it was packed to the brim! The top pool is under construction!! Several elevators are not working!!! While riding one, it even hit something on the way down. It was scary enough that we started using the stairs!
This was a completely horrible experience and disappointment. I wish we would have never booked here. I feel like we were robbed out of our money and time. We literally could have done the same thing staying at home.
Again, this is a horrible experience.
The condo itself was clean.
#The pullout was extremely thin, and the springs were coming through. The shower head in the master was hot, yes!!! Sadly, the head couldn't be moved, so you had to stand at the side of the shower pretty much against the wall in order to even be sprayed with the shower. The floor felt flimsy under our feet, and we noticed prior hole patches in the shower floor from previous damage issues. #water pressure everyone wants that hard water but not when it's so hard you can't stand in the water at all without it constantly splashing up into your face because again The shower head was pointed to a wall and could not be moved
Pressure was so high, which would have been great. Had there been an option to soften the blow to your body or even an adjustment of the head itself so it's not smacking you in the face.
We stayed in room 210. We live in PC We try to do things with our kids at least once a year that may cost us a bit, and this was it.
We are highly disappointed. If I could get my money back and book somewhere else, I would. This was a literal waste of time and money. Everything looked amazing! We got none of the amazing none...
