Sad to have to update this review but, I must be honest in my reviews, it’s very important to me. This place does have good ice cream. It does have a nice old fashioned feel to it and is usually kept pretty tidy. But the service I received today will be sure to make this my last visit. I was snapped at today by this lady in the picture. I did not appreciate her short temper with me. I had just placed an order for my two kiddos with a young lady who was nice. Then this lady had come up to me and didn’t even give me two seconds to think about what I wanted. She was very irritated with me. When I did decide as quickly as possible she then became even more short with me, what do you want on it?! My husband who had just ordered the same thing I did from a nice young man, did not get the same treatment. The young man simply said is hot fudge, whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry on top okay? And to this my husband said yes, thanks. I’m not sure why I was practically yelled at and scolded for this very same question for my order. I’m honestly just really disappointed. A word of advice, be kind to your customers. Be extra patient with parents who also have to order what the kiddos want and then think about themselves. No, I did not take this picture of her, it was already on the web, and I didn’t...
Read moreNote: This is my updated review on Graley's Creamery, and my second visit here.
I thought of coming back to this place to give it another go because of a bad experience I had at Tropical. I wanted to try out some genuine premium ice cream to end the month on a good note, and I had remembered Graley's selling some pretty decent ice cream. So, I came over here after about a year and I came out feeling absolutely impressed. While my last review touched on how expensive the ice cream was and the coffee being average (which I gave three stars as a result), this time around I would like to give Graley's the five stars it deserves. I didn't try out their coffee, but I did get a $9 ice cream order with one scoop made of a cheesecake flavor, another scoop with a Mexican corn-styled flavor, put into a waffle cone and covered in raspberry syrup. It tasted lovely with a perfect balance between sweetness, strength of flavor, and the spiciness that hits at the back of your throat. The lady at the counter helped me out a lot with trying out the flavors first and giving me suggestions for what could work.
Now, since it is premium ice cream at a novelty shop, so it will still be on the expensive side, but at the same time, you're still going to get fresh, high-quality stuff. I look forward to coming...
Read moreI’ve visited here twice. The first time it was very busy and after sampling an ice cream flavor, I did not have an employee follow up to take my order. They gave me a sample, moved to the customer behind me, then when I arrived at the register, I couldn’t tell the cashier what I got since nobody took my order. I left disappointed but I gave them the benefit of the doubt since they were busy. A couple months later I visited and the same exact thing happened yet this time, the shop was not busy. I asked for a sample, an employee got me the ice cream, then moved to the only other two people in line behind me. While those behind me tried to decide on flavors the employee attentively waited to take their order. There was nobody to help me though. The cashier asked what I was getting, yet like my first visit, I couldn’t tell them because nobody had taken my order. Eventually, the cashier had to come over and make my ice cream since no other employee was willing to help. At the time of my visit, there were 6 employees working the counter, so low staffing is no excuse. Additionally, the portion size of ice cream is quite small. I left for a second time disappointed and do not believe that I’ll be back. If you’re looking for good ice cream and a good experience, go to Ted...
