I understand that your business is franchised out. However, the experience I had at the 8304 S 72d St location was THE WORST I've seen out of VI food quality and temperature, and then also how the manager treated another customer at the restaurant.
My experience: I ordered the pot roast. The entire plate came out cold, the potatoes had warm gravy but the potatoes themselves were cold, as in fridge cold, not just sat on the counter cold. The pot roast was luke warm as well. The only good thing about my meal was the soup, at least it was slightly better than warm.
When we went to the register to go pay, the manager was rudely dealing with another customer. The customer PAID FOR an entire pie with one of the employees running the register. But the manager said he would have to void the transaction because all pies were reserved already. Then, a server brings out to the customer a SLICE of pie from what she originally paid for. The customer was confused, as was the manager apparently. The manager said that was supposed to have gone to the trash and smashed the slice in front of her and everyone else.
If the pie the waitress pulled that from was supposed to have been trashed, why was it in the cooler to be sliced, I'm assuming next to every other item in the cooler. Are you serious? Was the food I was served supposed to have been re-heated versus actually cooked and served?
After my experience and with the other customer's interaction with the manager and what the manager said, should someone call in a health inspector to this location??
I want my ticket refunded, I took the food home to the dog because I wasn't going to make a scene, especially on Thanksgiving. NOT a way to run a business, and please direct this to the OWNER of that...
Read moreWhen we walked in, it was pretty slow and maybe only 2 or 3 tables were being used. The manager saw us at least twice and didn’t even bother to come seat us. When he finally did seat us, I asked if we could have a booth to which he replied “yeah, I figured you were going to ask.” Our booth had silverware underneath it, the table was dirty, there was paper and other pieces of trash on the floor around us. Our waitress was new but was pleasant and was really trying to help us out. She picked up some of the garbage off the floor and was cleaning tables while the manager was sitting at a table talking loudly (we could hear him from the opposite side of the restaurant) to another employee. The food was ok at best and the service was crummy. The saving grace was our waitress. Fast forward to checkout and we had to wait while the manager was watching tv and another two people walked in to be seated. We stood up there while he watched tv for a good 5 minutes. I am very disappointed at the Village Inn on 72nd. We will not be going back...
Read moreI went in to eat at the Papillion Village Inn last Wednesday 10/21. The store manager sat me and was wearing a face mask. There is a sign on the front door stating masks are required. The waitress came to my table with a bare face, I place my order and started to look around. None of the wait staff were wearing masks including the assistant manager. I slid over to keep my difference from anyone including the wait staff. After eating I went to the register to pay for my meal. The assistant manager took my money. I stated there was a sign on the front door requiring task masks. Why did none of the wait staff have. Face masks. His response was I have a medical condition so I cannot wear a mask. Ok, what about the rest of the staff and his response was we don’t enforce the mask requirement. So I guess I wound be going back until the vaccine is distributed and the mask requirement is lifted. I cannot afford to put my wife and myself at risk because of a few...
