I’ve been lucky enough to visit the mansion about 6 times over the last 3 years as a perk of my employer, and just got back from my most recent trip. It’s everything it’s cracked up to be, and then some. The accommodations are exquisite as is the service - no wish is left unattended. We typically reserve one of the 3 bedroom villas, though we’ve stayed in several on the property, which is hidden in plain sight with access from the MGM Grand. By design, when you see the casino entrance, you wouldn’t know what you’re looking at, unless of course you know to look for it. ||||The larger (3 and 4 bedroom) villas are equipped with private gyms, private indoor pools and spas, theater rooms, etc. The 10K+ square-foot villa we stayed in this week runs approximately $15K per night, but that price tag doesn’t even reflect half of the total bill after food and alcohol, gambling, service charges and gratuities, etc. We regularly host parties inside the mansion, which is the primary reason we book, and everything from alcohol, hors d’oeuvres, cigars, bar and butler staff, and cheuffer service to transport our guests, etc, are executed immaculately by the staff. Your wish is their command. For instance, a few of our guests went down to a lounge area located in the garden terrace to enjoy cigars with their scotch in hand. The butlers immediately noticed, offered and subsequently relocated them to the private gambling room, complete with pool and poker table, shuffle board, etc, setup a private bar which they immediately stocked with the various scotch whiskeys our guests were enjoying, and proceeded to provide impeccable service in this new venue on a whim - simply because they considered it might be a more comfortable setting. ||||While room service menus are available, they’re simply a suggestion, as the chef service is at beck and call to serve any entree you might prefer, complete with fine china and invisible yet attentive service. Require a comfortable throw-blanket while you lounge in your private media room? Ask you and shall receive. Have a guest running low on their pack of smokes? A butler will arrive with a complete selection on their tray. Last year, one of my colleagues fell asleep on the very comfortable couch in the office. The next night before returning to bed, I noticed they’d made that very couch into a comfortable bed, complete with sheets, duvet, and pillow, just in case that’s where he’d actually prefer to sleep. ||||If you’re lucky enough to be invited to stay at this property, either directly by the hotel or as a guest of someone invited, do not hesitate. Historically it was considered an urban legend or myth, though the veil has been somewhat lifted in recent years, since MGM now has the property listed on their website. I do believe the property is still invitation only for highly qualified guests, but there is a phone number listed now, so it’s possible you can now request to be qualified, rather than waiting on an invitation. I’ve heard the mansion even has its own private 747 to transport invited guests from around the world, in addition to the various Rolls Royce’s, Bentley’s, etc used to transit around Vegas. Be prepared to gamble, eat, and (most importantly)...
