I've purchased from this location before and my experiences are pretty good, however I want to share this experience as a case study in How Not to Administer Customer Service.
So I hop off the bus on my way to work and I decided to pickup something to eat because I'm in for a long shift at Amazon (6p-430a) and I didn't have time to prepare lunch. Although many places are opening their doors for dine-in, this location is doing Takeout and Delivery only. I'm okay with that, it just meant I had to place my order via the app for takeout. Cool, no problem.
I grab a seat under a table and tent the restaurant has outside and place my order for takeout. The app says my order will be ready in 10 min. It took less than that. Kudos to the rest of the staff for that!!! Nonetheless, seconds after my order was processed, one of their staff members comes outside and in a "nice" way tells me I have to get up because the chair and table was for interviews only and she has to take them back inside.
The peculiar part about all of this is it's approx. 5p, which leads me to believe the chair and table has been outside most of the day. So I advise the staff member that in the name of Customer Service, I would have handled the situation differently. I advised her that I would have asked the customer, are they waiting for pickup and if so do they know when their order would be ready? (In fact the staff had just sat my order in the pickup area). I advised her I would have made an exception and allowed the customer to remain seated outside until they picked up their order, at which time I would have retrieved the table and chair.
The staff member respnded by saying that they could get in trouble with their manager and they "apologized" for what they incorrectly "assumed" I was feeling some type of way. For starters, if a person has errored in their ways and stand to be corrected, they stand to be corrected. End of story. This doesn't have anything to do with feelings. It's about providing quality product and service to the people who help pay the staff and management's salary. Furthermore, I have been recently diagnosed with Edema (swelling in the feet and legs) so as part of the healing process, I have been advised to staff off my feet as much as I am able to.
The irony in all this, the person responsible for providing sub-par customer service was charged with the responsibility of interviewing people for a customer service skilled position. Smh (shaking my head).
The chair and table could have remained outside for 5 extra minutes for a customer who could really use it...Some people confuse serving the needs of others with serving...
Read moreWalked in for an order online that was done about 5 minutes before i got there however the order wasnt on the shelf. No big deal, its not done. 5 minutes pass so ill go ask since the email says my order is done
A random woman walks in front before i can interact with the person putting together online orders. No problem, im patient and can wait. They talk for about 10 minutes in front of me. “Its okay, maybe shes mad about an order and needs to get it rectified”. Welp the girl and the blonde chipotle employee were just hanging out having a good ol chat about their friends and when they last saw x friend.
Its okay though because she noticed i was waiting so she asked and i was handed my order that was ready for the last 15 minutes. I had another order so she asked me to wait just a moment for her to grab the 2 bags of chips…. Then she starts talking to the friend for about 5 more minutes until i told them that i wanted my order.
It really sucks that i have to but put in the most karen situation ever because this person was too preoccupied with high school talk while the rest of the crew was obviously hard at work tackling the line. Id imagine the other dishes this employee had lined up and unfinished werent going to get done anytime soon but i guess its...
Read moreBrought my boyfriend here to try the new meatless chorizo. Highly disappointed. Not with the new chorizo, but I feel so ripped off and it was a horrible experience! The portions were SO SMALL and it was $27.64 just for two burritos with a side of queso and chips! I would hate to see what the price would be if we decided to get guacamole! For that price, you could eat at a really nice restaurant instead and still have enough food left over to take home for later! ridiculous! In addition to our burritos being VERY small, everything was made poorly! They didn't strain the ingredients before putting them in the burrito, which makes everything leak and become super messy! I don't know why they were in a rush considering we were literally the only people in line. They have not only raised their prices on menu items, but they have also reduced the portion sizes! I couldn't believe the "large" queso when I seen it. They literally reduced it to HALF the size that it used to be! We live just a couple minutes away from this location, when we got home we both looked at each other and mentioned how we were still hungry! At this point, I am convinced that you must be stupid to eat here. Want to be ripped off?...
