On May 12,2024I took my iPhone 14 to gadget repair after calling and asking if they could replace the broken screen on my phone. They did quickly replace the screen on my phone, but that doesn’t negate that they also didn’t do the work I expected. I guess I should’ve done my homework and when I read that they used genuine parts that didn’t mean Apple, when I received my phone, it seemed that everything was fine, but it wasn’t about an hour later that there were some blue and red lines going through the middle of my phone. They would come and go sometimes they would be white lines blurry sometimes they wouldn’t be there at all if I turn on the lock screen it appeared as if nothing was as wrong. I called the next morning and spoke with the technician and told her my problem she told me to bring the phone back in due to schedule restraints, doctors appointments, school and work. I was unable to bring my iPhone back in until May 17, 2024. I arrived at gadget repair and spoke with the technician and told her my problem. I asked her as I had asked the technician when I called the next day why I have an error message that says that my iPhone doesn’t have genuine parts for the display. She told me that was completely normal and at all that when they are repaired is not the case , I guess if you use an authorized Apple technician and authorized real genuine Apple parts, you can reprogram your display to your motherboard. I was not once told that they were using anything other than authorized Apple parts and that I could possibly have a malfunction because of that. And when I questioned it, I was told that was normal well Apple support says that it is not normal and sent me to a place that will fix my screen , genuine parts. She proceeds to wipe down the screen, not well enough to see a scratch because there was some kind White substance dried up on the screen and tells me that my warranty is void because there is a scratch on the glass she couldn’t even point the scratch out to me because it didn’t exist. Let me explain the problems over the next five days. I first noticed the lines then the next day I noticed that I can’t see my phone at all the daylight the next thing I realize sometimes my Face ID works sometimes it doesn’t sometimes you can close the window with the sometimes you can touch it 50 times and doesn’t work. I was locked out of my phone for four hours on Wednesday because I put the phone in my purse and I guess my purse decided that it wanted to try to unlock my phone and it locked me out an hour at a time. Thank God, I turned off the setting that if you put the password in wrong 10 times it locks you out of your phone. My phone also gets very hot. The battery last about two hours before I have to recharge it now it looks like I’m looking into like a hourglass when I try to. Read anything on my phone. But I guess that nonexistent scratch is cause to void the warranty. I not only forked out $190 when they quoted me $170 because they failed to mention that there’s a 3% surcharge to use a debit card. They now want me to pay for the diagnostic and repairs of the damage they caused. I had a slightly cracked screen in the upper right hand corner and the upper left-hand corner. The screen was still very usable and I should’ve just waited two days to go to the Apple Store. They did it for me in an hour but they did not give me a product that is usable and it is in worse condition than when I took it in. Now I need to take it to the Apple Store and I sure hope that they can fix it by just replacing the screen like I had originally needed and not have to fix the damage that gadget repair caused additionally to my phone. I Just wanna make others aware that they were unable to fix my iPhone 14 screen satisfactory and now I have more damage to my phone then when I originally took it to them, they did not honor their warranty And try to bamboozle me again by telling me they could fix it for an additional price. Did you really think that you would be able to get me twice you already wasted my time...

UPDATE: The service is great but my review is biased given the fact that they offer a free screen protector if you give them a 5 star review... My phone was in perfect condition despite the fact it had a little crack on the edge of my screen. I had no LCD damage or anything like that. But the little crack had bothered me to no end so that’s why I decided to get the screen replaced here. It took them about 15 minutes to replace it and it looked really good when it was given back to me. But I couldn’t help but notice that the display and the colors looked faded, it wasn’t as vibrant as it was before. But I let it go, since it’s not that big of a deal. But the next day the top of my screen moves now and then and glitches. It’s so annoying but there’s nothing I can do about it since before they did any service on my phone, I signed a paper saying it’s not their fault if anything happens to it. After a few days, I let that slide too. But now my phone constantly freezes :( This morning my phone fell 13 inches from my bed to the carpet floor and the screen from the phone is detached. I tried squeezing it back into place but could only get a portion of it back into place. Ever since I got my screen repaired, my iPhone 7 hasn’t been the same. It’s not enjoyable to use the phone anymore, it’s tedious. I regret getting it repaired and I wished I would’ve just overlooked the small crack...
Read moreI’m not quite sure where to begin, but I had a rough day during my visit to Las Vegas. I ended up missing my flight home, and while trying to rent a car, I accidentally dropped my iPhone 11. The screen cracked, and the display turned into a rainbow of colors. I panicked because all my important information was on that phone. Although I had cracked my screen before and thought it would be easy to fix, this situation felt different.
I used my husband’s phone to search for the nearest repair shop, and Gadget Repair LV came up. I called them and was able to get in right away. However, I was hesitant, unsure if they could really help me. I was given an estimated repair time of one hour, but that turned into two and a half hours. When they finally told me that my phone couldn’t be fixed due to internal issues, I felt devastated. I hadn’t planned on spending extra money on a flight, rental car, hotel, and now a phone.
In my moment of panic, all my worries were noticed by Jonas, who stepped in to help. He offered me an upgraded phone, complete with a case and screen protector, at a surprisingly good price—one I’m almost embarrassed to share! He didn’t have to do that; the fact that my phone couldn’t be repaired was not his fault, yet he showed kindness and empathy.
I was overwhelmed with gratitude for Jonas, who turned my frustrating day around. I’m writing this review using my new phone, and I couldn’t be happier! Thank you so much, Jonas, for making a bad situation...
