It is a great location, the manager was on point and a five star employee. Beyond that, I was very disappointed in our experience there. First, we waited an extremely long time, I ended up going to the bar myself to order us a couple of beers, which I wasn’t very successful as the bartender wasn’t very attentive either, at which time the waiter finally showed up. So, he recommends the small sized pizza of the deep dish we wanted and garlic bread to start. The garlic bread appetizer was ordinary and not very good and our waiter didn’t seem to be around much. We then thought he gave us wrong information about the size of the different pizzas because we let him know it was our first time there and although he wasn’t very busy, he didn’t take any time in explaining much about their menu to us. So, when we noticed a pizza that had been delivered to the table next to us, thinking the personal size was the small we had just ordered, we sat there concerned, especially with how long it takes the pizza to be made in the first place,so when our waiter finally showed up, after waiving him down, he confirmed our fears. We changed our order, from small to medium. We then asked another server after seeing another table’s pizza and what size they had, he informed us that it was a small. So, after all of that, we realized we should have stuck with our original order. After hardly seeing our waiter, we then we get introduced to another server who is taking over our table. She forgot about us, and the manager ended up going to check on and delivering our pizza to us. The top was not very hot, but over all it was hot enough, however it was not very tasty and the pepperoni was very bland. My boyfriend would’ve had another beer if we had received better service. I don’t think we will going back there, it was a very bad experience and honestly when Chicago Brewery is a much better place to eat with better tasting pizza ( excellent tasting! Best pizza in town! ) and has extremely better customer service, why would we go back? I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone but steer them to Chicago...
Read moreIt was a weird experience here. We had been walking around all day and were tired. I thought the restaurant was enclosed but it was not. It was very hot even with the misters going. The hostess walked the folks ahead of us to a table and nodded at us and pointed to a table without a word so we walked over and took a seat. The waiter came right over, took our drink and lunch order and did warn us the pizza would take 45-60 minutes. We said fine. He did come over 2-3x to see if our drinks were still good but after an hour and 5 minutes we were getting impatient. We saw the people who came In just before us, and after us, eat their entire meal and leave while we hadn’t gotten anything. The waiter came over and said there was a problem in the kitchen and the pizza “never came out.” Sounds like the order wasn’t sent correctly but whatever, we understand mistakes happen. He said it would be out in 15. A half hour later he came out, made a show of cutting the pizza for us to see the cheese pull, but coming from New England, we have some of the best pizza in the country. I would not consider this to be world’s best pizza by any stretch of the imagination. The waiter also told us the pizza would be free which we appreciated. But the tone all changed when we finished eating and got the bill. The waiter said he knew there were problems in the kitchen but can we PLEASE PLEASE leave him a 5 star review. It came across as pushy and desperate and inappropriate. He hovered over my husband’s shoulder watching him write and submit a fake 5 star review just so we could get the hell out of there. Is this a bonus system? For people that waited an hour and a half to get a small pizza especially that were a little annoyed, even if that got us a free pizza, it’s rude and made us so uncomfortable. Please get rid of this. The waiter was certainly working hard, but it gave us a bad vibe and uncomfortable atmosphere taking away the feeling of...
Read moreFirst time at this restaurant, a group of 6 well travel individuals thought about trying this chain out. Promoting itself as the world's best pizza. We arrived on a Sunday evening, expecting a wait, but to our surprise, we were brought to our table immediately. The place was busy, almost full. I felt the service throughout the evening was pretty good. We were constantly asked if everything was ok, made sure our waters were filled and drinks were replenished. Sadly that's where the positives ended.
I have over 500 reviews on Google with most of them being restaurants. I think I only posted negative reviews on food itself, a handful of times. This was by far the worst pizza I've ever had. I've had actual, from Chicago, Chicago style pizza... I've even made this style of pizza from scratch. This, was one of the worst frozen pizzas I've ever had. And I wasn't the first to comment on that exact sentiment.
Two other colleagues also with pizzas, both said it tasted like terrible frozen pizzas. Not a chance the dough was fresh. The pizza itself was barely hot, and mine had liquid evidence that it was thawed out. After waiting for 40-45 minutes, we assumed it'd be fresh.
We could have complained to the servers about the quality, but we weren't looking for refund or anything. We felt it wasn't worth it. My wife works as a restaurant manager so I understand how negative reviews can affect a restaurant. I also understand that getting paid off to stay quiet, will not improve a product. In order to affect change, negative reviews are sometimes needed. This food quality needs a change.
I don't care what the manager will say to this review, I cannot recommend going to this place and the fact that there's so many people commenting on how good it is, is absolutely shocking and unbelievable. Especially for the price, but one from the grocery store, or find the many other great alternatives...
