Jersey Mike's is my absolute favorite sandwich place! I was here weekly back home! I have never in my life experience such horrific customer service. My husband and I walked up, there were no customers in line behind us, as we were looking at the menu, the lady asked me what I wanted, I asked her to give me just a moment so I could discuss with my husband (still nobody in lineline be us). She got so upset with me that she theth her hands in the air in frustration and asked immediately again for my order. When I repeated myself asking for a moment, she then was beyond angry at me! -this all transpired within 10 seconds.. Then she kept giving me glaring looks like I was some horrid person. Then after I was ready to order a few seconds later, she refused to take my order. I kept trying to make eyee contact with her and continually said excuse me.. Her coworker at the resister asked my husband what he had ordered and he told her he has not ordered because the first lady would not take our order.. Then she told the cashier that we wouldn't order so she couldn't do anything about us.
I own my own business, I know how detrimental negative reviews can be for a business. This is probably the second negative review of my entire life, but I feel that you need to know how my experience was so the issue can be resolved before any other customer has to experience what I just experienced. I am just so taken aback from this experience. It just happen about 10 minutes ago so please, see who the staff was so that you can coach them. I apologize that I did not get the name of the employee. She was short,...
Read moreIn general, I like Jersey Mike's, but my experience at this location was poor. Long-story-short, the employee taking my order did not feel like cutting an Italian sandwich with multiple meats on it. He told me they were "not making Italians". This is a sandwich I consider quintessential to Jersey Mike's. I ended up ordering other (1-meat) sandwiches. I figured maybe they were out of one of the meats on the sandwich I wanted.
The kicker is.... The guy behind me had asked what they said about my order (because he wanted to order the same). I told him what the employee said to me. When he got to the front, a different employee took his order and said they'd gladly make him the same sandwich I wanted.
Big picture, it's just a sandwich and the ones I got tasted fine. But if I am paying $35 for two sandwiches, I'd expect to be able to order what I want and not to be at the whim of an employee that just doesn't feel like it. Go...
Read moreWhy do brands open terrible locations where they can't live brand standards? High traffic. High profit. I get it. But the sacrifice is 100% on the customer and the employee. But at least y'all make money. Kudos
But the drop in quality should cost you more in brand equity. Ruthlessly slow speed of service. (I really cannot believe that it's more profitable than opening a real location). No shore points. Offered bell peppers on my veggie before being told they had none left. Slicer hasn't been cleaned in hours. Trash everywhere. Sandwiches are being prepped in the crumb area with no paper. Site too small. Unwise use of hood space
Sincerely. What were y'all thinking?
I'll be sure to avoid Jersey Mike's when I actually have the choice outside an airport. I assume this decision was made for profit, and I'll do my part to make sure I don't come back for a while
Just boo on my friendly favorite...
