I have to say that the way I was treated at this restaurant today (as I often go there) was by far the absolutely worse I’ve ever had in my entire life! I work in the service industry and cannot believe how disgusting I was treated by this bartender today! Came in with a friend after landing in Las Vegas there was no hostess at the time and the restaurant was fairly slow, so we sat on a table for 2 and 5 minutes passed and no service. I told my friend I’ll go get a drink at the bar. Ordered a Pinot Grigio which said it was $11 the bartender asked if I wanted the 9OZ I said ok it came up to $17 I gave him a $20 and said keep it. So I grabbed my glass of wine and walked to meet my friend and he was standing by the end of the bar and told me he was kicked out off the table because I went to the bar to get a drink. So since I ordered my drink from the bar we just say down at the empty end of the bar when this super tall bartender like 6’3 just shouts at me saying where did you get this drink? I was very confused and shocked, so I said excuse me? He very rude said again where did you get this drink like I brought it from my house or something???????….. I said I just bought this glass of wine at the bar. He says you cannot sit here you have to sit where you bought it, so again I said I bought it at the bar and in fact I spend $20 on this glass of wine and I ordered it by the serving station because that was where the bartender was standing. He continues and say here do you want a cup to go and I lost it! I said no I do not want it to go, I bought an overpriced glass of wine, the restaurant is empty and you are the rudest person I’ve ever met! I work in the service industry for decades and never ever talked to a guest like that! I called the bartender who sold me the wine asked his name he said my name is Alex, so I said Alex please let your fellow coworker know I bought this wine from you here at the bar. Also asked him if it was a problem to sit at the bar and he said no! This rude tall bartender whom I don’t know his name just overheard him saying he has been working there for 3 months was the most disgusting and disrespectful human being I’ve ever interact with! Working for only 3 months with such attitude???? Someone like that should not be working in this industry! I finished my wine very fast and we walked down to the sushi place to drink and eat because there’s no way I’ll over pay to be treated so disrespectfully like this! Thank God we left because we had the best bartender and the best service at the Japanese place! Also Anthony told me I’m sorry it was a misunderstanding! Absolutely not! It was not a misunderstanding!!!! And guess what I will be coming back for my margaritas, wine and Mexican bites! I live here in Vegas work in Los Angeles, so the airport is an extension of my living room and this rude disgusting bartender will not bully me away from one of my favorite spots in the airport! I hope the management can see this review and have a talk with this rude bartender and make him understand that he cannot treat paying guests as such! It is absolutely unacceptable!!!!!! Guests walk into a bar/restaurant they should be welcomed and greeted with kindness! It’s part of the service! You say hi how are you! Welcome! NOT WHERE DID YOU GET THIS DRINK? Here’s a cup go!!!!! I am very upset and very bothered by this disgusting...
Read moreMy husband and I had some time to kill before boarding our flight from Las Vegas. It was happy hour, so we decided to get two gin martinis before boarding. I asked the hostess whether we would be served quickly and she assured us we would since time was short before our flight. We ordered two Beefeater gin martinis, but were talked into "doubling" them because they were half price. The drinks took 20 minutes to arrive -- but they were not martinis. They were gin and tonics with lime. We sent them back and asked again how long it would take to get the correct beverages. It took another 10 minutes, by which time we had to get to our gate. We were ready to leave for the gate, when the waitress chased us down to give us our drinks. Because we didn't have time to drink them, the waitress poured them into "to go" cups. The portion was so small, they could not have been doubles, and tasted like diluted water with lime juice, which no martini we have ever had included! The waitress was rude (and probably rushed), but she wouldn't comp the drinks or even confirm what was in them. "That's what the bartender made," she said. Right next to this restaurant was a walk-up bar -- had we known we could have gotten drinks "to go," we would have gone there and avoided the wait and the mis-made drinks. Oh, yes, and not only were the drinks terrible, but...

I feel like every time I fly out of McCarran I'm on the far side of Terminal 1. Walking, walking, walking.... to reach my gate. I usually get there with enough time to stop for a drink or snacks at this tequileria. Their Jack n Cokes are about $12 each, but you can make it a double, in a tall glass, for only $4 more. So $64 plus tip got us a couple of rounds of airport-strength drinks. Can't complain about the price though when you have good service (or, when youre ordering drinks from an airport in Vegas at all! No complaining in Vegas!!!)
Thankfully, Stacie was AWESOME. She sold us on the doubles... twice! She was very friendly and social and just fun to have at our table. Even put the second round into plastic cups so we could walk around and gamble with them. You could tell she loves her job by the way she interacted with us, and even how she introduced herself to the tables near us as well.
I ended up not eating here, but I did get some salsa to go, to dip French fries in. I'm not kidding.... I had two-day old garlic fries, ordered with room service in our hotel, and one-day old McDonalds fries, both of which I'd packed up in our rush to leave. So... yeah, at the end of a $3,000 weekend I had no problem saving money and eating something from the night before. Though, I guess I always eat weird...
