A below average buffet for an MGM resort. Paid for the weekend brunch buffet through buy one get one on myVEGAS slots redemption. We arrived at 10 AM on a Sunday and were able to walk right in. They do have a skip the line pass purchase for $52–no alcohol included in that price (see alcohol pricing below as of September 2023).
FOOD: Weekend buffets are typically more expensive compared to weekdays, as this one is, and you should expect more variety. There was no appreciable difference compared to weekdays. The seafood section is 45-60-count peel and each shrimp (think small), clams, rock hard sushi and that’s pretty much it. No lox, no oysters. There is baked salmon that excessively overcooked as it should be in a buffet steam pan. The fried chicken is just like the reviewers posted (image), almost cadaverous in appearance with beef-jerky textured meat and tendons, as if it was refried five times. The scrambled eggs were dense and flavorless. The omelette bar was too long of a line, so I didn’t wait. Around 10:30 they got rid of the oatmeal and the grits and set out pizza. Generally speaking of food was pretty dried out and bland—as many other reviewers posted.
You can’t go wrong if you get boxed cereal, toast your own bagel, and just eat the salad.
SERVICE: Service is exceptional. The people here work very hard and are so kind. Great, clean, and organized.
ALCOHOL: if you want to purchase alcoholic beverages it’s approximately $15 for one drink or you can pay $22 for all you can drink beer and wine or $26 for cocktails. Two hour maximum drinking and sitting to eat. You get wristbands if you buy the all you can drink and can only take one drink at a time, which is fine, except we were seated all the way in the back by the salad bar, which is about as far as you can get from where the bar area is.
For one person with the drink package it was $63. You’re better off at Wicked Spoon or Caesars...

Guys trip. Everyone got the bottomless mimosas. Batrtnder was a quick pour and laughed at our jokes. A 20 from everyone put $100 in his tip jar in case we stay for a minute.
You have to get drinks yourself, but he started making them before we ordered. The afternoon was starting great. Then there was a shift change.
Young lady. Smiled. She either hated men or had a very irritating rash she was dealing with. You could feel her heat anger. I allowed her to ruin my afternoon.
We walked to her bar and ordered 5 mimosas. She ask for IDs. Fine. We laughed and thanked her for flattering us telling her our ages (50+/-). 'I don't care how old you are. I'm going to card you every time you order' she was immediately angry with us.
Only 4 IDs. One wallet in the safe. Walked with a pocket of chips. He's not drinking, she said with a smile. Our friend told him not to worry, he'll bring him a mimosa. She immediately cut him off as well. Two down, three to go.
I explained we'd tip her well and hadn't had a problem the previous two trips to the bar. Zero sympathy. Two less bottomless she had to make. I pleaded and joked to add levity. Her eyes flashed red. I should have walked.
"I'm not trying to give you a hard time. You should have seen us last night. We were all hammered." Super poor choice of words on my part. Did you just say you are all hammered? It's on camera (pointing up and behind her). You're all cut off! 5/5
I stood mouth agape. No more jokes. Furious. I allowed her to ruin my afternoon.
This wasn't a girl. It was evil. She fills her lungs with visitors frustration and her cauldron with their tears. In the evening she wears her pointy hat dances and rejoices at the misery in her wake....

My spouse and I booked (2) night time show tickets for a local show and decided to go get dinner before the 8pm.show. One of the options presented to us was that did fit within our schedule was the buffet dinner here at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. We wanted to go in and take a look to see if this meal selection was sufficient for the price that we would pay. We viewed it earlier to get an idea of the food selections before we would return before our show later in the evening. The cashier at the front desk was professional and took our tickets that we purchased and exchanged them for the receipt. We were then seated quickly by the hostess on the far side the room. The buffet that I observed at this hour, featured crab legs prime rib steak chicken turkey and fish as the available meat selections. There was a large variety of sides lined along the warming centers and wall. That was also an alcohol bar that offered drinks for an additional fee. since we do not drink neither one of us walked over to see what they had to offer. We also did note that there was no restroom located within the facility. You would have to leave the dining area to use the restroom. The server working our table was professional and capable. He constantly kept an eye on the table and remove the plates as we were finished with them. There were a lot of desserts that were set out separately and in small portions for individual consumption. We both tried a little bit of everything that was offered at this buffet to ensure we were able to give an accurate summary of the individual items that we sampled. No need on this visit. Everything we sampled was of good quality, good flavor, cooked appropriately, and visually...
