OMG, where should I begin... We recently ate at Wolfgang Puck's inside the MGM in Las Vegas late at night on Mother's Day 5/12/24. We had a party of 4 and a server named Cerena, who was really nice & we had a waiter named Daniel who was the absolute BEST. One of our party members jokingly continued to call Cerena by the name LUCY, (he was joking, but I could tell it irritated her, but she handled it well and kept her composure... I'll get back to this Lucy story shortly)... Now on to the start of the disappointment... My husband and I ordered Chicken Wings as an appetizer. When they arrived they looked great, seem piping hot, I ate a flat, but after my husband bit into one of the legs it was bloody, he ripped another one open which also had blood in the middle. We should have took pictures, but we were disgusted and sent them back immediately. We received an apology, and was offered more wings, in which we absolutely did not want after seeing bloody chicken on your plate. So we decided to wait on our main entrees to come. I had the half Jidori Chicken with the Yukon potatoe puree, and my husband ordered the Rigatoni Bologanese. My Jidori Chicken was not seasoned, bland and definitely not what I expected after such a long wait time. My husband's pasta was chewy, & had no seasoning. We were HIGHLY disappointed because with the Wolfgang Puck name attached, our expectations were very high. I've had better chicken at KFC and better pasta at Olive Garden. Our other half of the party ordered a $84 steak that came on the plate looking like a black burnt sponge, but I'll let them leave their own review.... I asked "Carena" for the manager just to let him know that the food was not good. The Manager came and I said first, I want to say Daniel & Carena were excellent so we have no complaints with the servers, then the manager interrupted me and said "you mean Lucy". I thought his sarcasm was tasteless, however it let me know that Carena told him and the staff that someone from our table was calling her Lucy, and I'm of the impression that's why our food was horrible. Anyhow, I was able to tell the manager about the horrible food as respectfully as I could. Of course they removed the bloody chicken from our bill, as they should have since we sent it back, and we weren't looking for anything else but to let them know our $85 total meals for nasty pasta and unseasoned chicken was not worth it. Mr. Wolfgang needs to take his name off that restaurant because it was not what we expected for WOLFGANG PUCK. I wouldn't send my enemy there to eat. As I stated before, Carena and Daniel were great. The manager (the short guy who's name I didn't catch) needs a customer service training refresher course because his sarcasm was not needed, he could have just listened, apologized, and presented the feedback to the chefs so they can do better next time. I was disappointed in the food, and I'll NEVER eat there again. Also, they need a bit more lighting in there. At the booth we were seated in, I couldn't even see my plate. I had to move it across the table to get a little light to shine on it to make sure my Jidori Chicken wasn't bloody like the wings were. My stomach has been upset since I ate there, so beware. Go to Hell's Kitchen instead or any of the other Gordon Ramsey restaurants in Las Vegas. Wolfgang Puck inside the MGM is TWO...
Read moreAn Elevated Dining Experience at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill MGM Grand Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at the MGM Grand is a standout on the Las Vegas Strip. It's the perfect balance of upscale dining and relaxed, approachable atmosphere. My recent visit reaffirmed why this place is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates a stellar culinary experience paired with an equally impressive beverage program and genuinely excellent service. The food menu is a testament to Wolfgang Puck's culinary genius. It’s an incredible selection that manages to be both classic and inventive. From the perfectly executed wood-fired pizzas to the hearty entrees, every dish is a celebration of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu offers a fantastic range, whether you're in the mood for a light appetizer like the Maryland Blue Crab Cakes or a more substantial dish like the 10 oz Flat Iron Steak. What truly impressed me was the culinary creativity; they elevate familiar comfort foods with sophisticated touches and flavor combinations that are pure artistry. Beyond the incredible food, the bar program is nothing short of exceptional. The wine list is a curated masterpiece, with an extensive selection of bottles and by-the-glass options. They have a fantastic range of California wines, including some of Wolfgang Puck's own labels, but also feature excellent choices from across the globe. The staff's knowledge of the wine list is remarkable. They are adept at helping you find the perfect pairing, whether it’s a full-bodied Cabernet to complement the Porterhouse Steak or a crisp Sauvignon Blanc to go with the fresh seafood. It's a true sommelier-level experience without any of the pretense. The beer selection is equally thoughtful, going well beyond the typical casino bar offerings. They feature a great mix of well-known domestic and international brews, as well as some excellent craft beer options. It's clear that the same attention to detail that goes into the food and wine has been applied to the beer list, ensuring there's something to please every palate. What truly seals the deal, however, is the staff. They are not just servers; they are an integral part of the dining experience. Their curiosity and passion for the menu, both food and drink, are infectious. They are quick to offer insightful recommendations, answer questions with genuine knowledge, and anticipate your needs without being overbearing. It's a rare and delightful thing to encounter a team that is so genuinely invested in ensuring every guest has a fantastic time. Their welcoming and engaging demeanor makes you feel like a valued guest, not just another table. Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at the MGM Grand is more than just a restaurant; it's a destination. The outstanding selection of food, expertly paired wines, thoughtful beer list, and, most importantly, the curious and dedicated staff make for an unforgettable meal. This is a place where every detail is considered, and the result is a dining experience that is truly...
Read moreWe visited Wolfgang Puck Pub & Grill this past weekend to celebrate my bf’s brother’s 21st birthday and we were definitely excited. My boyfriend, some friends and I had visited Spago at the Bellagio for Brunch the day before so we were excited to give another Wolfgang Puck restaurant a try since Spago was amazing and the food was absolutely breathtaking and delicious, however we definitely had some issues that made our experience overall disappointing.
When we arrived, we were seated immediately thanks to our reservation so that was definitely a plus and convenient for them to allow online booking ahead of time. The hostess was very nice and our waiter was amazing. Overall, my favorite part of our experience were also the drinks. We tried the a passion fruit margarita which was delicious and the Guava Pineapple Mule which was refreshing and delicious so no complaints from us when it came to the cocktails. The food also arrive very quickly so service overall was stellar. However, we ran into issues once the food arrived as some of our steaks were missing the appropriate sauces so we had to wait for them to bring us a side of mushrooms that were supposed to be on the steaks. I also had some issues with my half Jidori chicken as it had an odd taste and I couldn’t tell if it was slightly pink or if it was just the sauce. I now know that it might not have been cooked properly. The main issue was that after our meal and when walking back to our hotel, I began to feel very sick and ended up throwing up our entire dinner not 20 minutes after leaving the restaurant which makes me believe the chicken was not cooked correctly or something unsanitary happened. We also tried the starter crab cakes and had Mac n Cheese sides so we’re not sure what else made us sick. Two friends who had different steaks also felt a little off after dinner so I’m not sure if it was a cooking temp issue or cross contamination in the kitchen of some kind or the crab cakes or Mac and cheese which we all tried. Overall, our dinner total came out to over $500 so it was very disappointing that it made us sick as it’s not great to throw up such as expensive dinner. The 2 stars are simply for the service which was very good and I want to make sure and emphasize how great the staff was but I give 0 stars for the food as it did make us all very ill which impacted the rest of our Vegas stay. Very disappointing overall and I think we’ll stick to the superior Spago for...
