I've had the distinct pleasure of trying various gourmet foods around the world but at no time did I ever have an opportunity to experience food from Ireland or anywhere in the United Kingdom for that matter. One of the many perks to living in Las Vegas (LV) is that the city provides you with a wide-array of cuisine without ever having to leave the city (or country). One may argue that the food isn't "authentic" because you're not receiving it from its actual homeland, but that remains debatable because I've been to several restaurants where the food made in the United States was far better than getting it from its country of origin. Although I can't provide that same compare-and-contrast feedback on Nine Fine Irishmen (NFI), I suspect that their food is equal to (if not better than) getting it in Ireland since the business is still open and seems to always be crowded.
My family has been wanting to dine here for many years but we never made it a point to do so because whenever we make a special trip to The LV Strip, it's for major events or to try a new steakhouse. Although, I myself wasn't itching to try this restaurant because the term "bangers and mash" doesn't seem appetizing, especially when I know what that dish consists of; not to mention, I'm not a fan of Shepherd's Pie. Regardless, it's an opportunity to experience something I've never done before and I thought maybe I'd run into Conor McGregor at the same time. We made a reservation and opted to dine here on New Year's Day (what better way to celebrate the start of 2025).
When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised at how big the restaurant was (even has second floor seating). The décor was nice but a little on the darker side for my taste. The lighting was subtle but I noticed a lot of lightbulbs were burnt out which may have contributed to the slightly darker setting. The table and chairs were adequate but I wished the table was a little bigger and that the chairs had cushions. Towards the end of our dinner, the live band started playing and although it was great entertainment, the music was a little loud. I was glad that we were seated upstairs, but even then, I found myself shouting to my family in order to have a conversation. The service at NFI was spectacular! Our primary server, Richard B., did a remarkable job that evening - he was extremely attentive, friendly, and explained their menu very efficiently.
We ordered the "Black and Blue," Smithwick's, and Shirley Temple for our drinks; Crab Cakes, Fried Kosher Dill Spears, a bowl of Colcannon Soup, and the Irish Onion Gratin Bowl for our appetizers; the Shepherd's Pie, Lamb and Guinness Stew, and Braised Boneless Short Rib for our main entrées; and the Guinness Chocolate Cake for our dessert. Everything tasted magnificent with the star performers being the Fried Kosher Dill Spears, Colcannon Soup, and Lamb/Guinness Stew. The Onion Gratin Bowl was good but I probably wouldn't order it again because it basically is a French Onion Soup (in my mind, I thought it would be served differently).
The prices were reasonable, especially when you consider normal LV Strip prices. I highly respect this business for their support to the active men and women of the Armed Forces, including its Veterans - thank you for that! Then again, that support seems to be standard for the majority of MGM properties. Overall, considering the price-to-quantity/quality ratio and the service, I was impressed with my first time experience here and recommend this restaurant to everyone. Note: Conor McGregor didn't show up during...

During an early September visit to Vegas we had 5:30pm reservations. It was a Wednesday and we were seated immediately even though they were getting busy. I would recommend reservations because with past trips we did have to wait.
Outdoor or indoor seating is available. We like outdoor because we enjoy dinning outside. The outside area is great and they have a bar out there as well. If you are not familiar with Vegas, it can get super toasty in summer and freezing in winter so know that. The inside is unbelievably amazing as this place was built and made in Ireland, shipped to Vegas and built by the Irish for your enjoyment. All kinds of Irish stuff to check out and a shrine of sorts to the Nine Fine Irishmen whom were hunters and the ones who built this bar (I think 🤔)
Service is great and even when busy orders are being served quickly. In past we've always gone with fish and chips and shepherd's pie and both are most delicious. I would say the fish and chips are probably their number one recommended item, however; this time we opted for the Irish nachos as a starter and for entrees we went with the chicken pot pie and bangers and mash with a side of brocolini.
The Irish nachos were extremely filling and I could not stop eating them and both the fiancee and I enjoyed them immensely. She went with the chicken pot pie which was very tasty and has a very fluffy pastry top that is most delicious. I've never actually had bangers and mash and figured I should try it and although it looks small in the pictures do not let it deceive you as it is very filling as well. The sausages are quite large, very tender and they sit atop a pile of mashed potatoes with cabbage in it which is very filling and satisfying. Writing this review 4 hours later I am still stuffed, 😂. Seriously my stomach hurts and it's so bloated but in a good way because it's really good food.
They also have steaks and other items as shown on menu.
Large beer and whiskey selection and I always go with the half and half which is Harps and Guinness.
We have now been to this establishment five times and have never been disappointed. I...
Read moreWhat a great place! It's like a pub was picked up out of Ireland and dropped in the middle of the US...which, of course, what the goal was. It was lovely actually, and it did feel a lot like we were in England again, but with US sports on the TVs.:)
We were greeted immediately after the doors opened on Friday at the bar downstairs and had a pleasant discussion with the bartender about football for a good 8 minutes before we realized we were supposed to meet someone outside for a table.
We exited and waiting in a short line for the hostess to greet us. She asked us how many were on our party and then promptly started a discussion with what appeared to be a manager and a chef, totally ignoring us. Hmmm.
Well we wereventually walked upstairs to a table in a corner room which was perfect for our rowdy little bunch of 5. Jaz the server(OMG what a doll) was quickly there to take our humble of orders which he promptly filled and returned often.
We started out with breaded fried dill pickles and we were so eager to try them they were devoured before I could think about a picture but trust me. They did not disappoint. They went perfectly with a smooth dark Guinness and were a great starter for our meal.
We were actually served really quickly, and like I said, Jaz was always there whenever we batted an eye to make sure we had everything we could ever need.
The tea was delicious and Jaz was there never to let it empty even though we were clearly out of his way.
The Irish Breakfast with corned beef hash, potatoes and a banger was a little dry but my uncle thought the overall taste was delicious.
The shepherd's pie came in an adorable cast iron kettle and was seasoned so well. It was a huge portion though and my sinister in law couldnt finish it all. Which was good, because then we could all be free to taste it!
My brother in law and I had the cod fish and chips and oh boy! They were huge chunks of flakey white meat. Lightly breaded in a beer batter and served with chunky fries and a tasty tartar sauce. Mighty yummy and a great value.
Absolutely glad we decided to not hit the casino buffet for our first meal in the city and that we stumbled on this place. What a...
