Not a great experience. We came to Las Vegas specifically to see the chandelier drop, but the main room was closedāand they donāt open it on Sundays. When we arrived, we were told ladies were free before 1:00 AM. We got there around 11:00 PM and the guest list line was already long. By midnight, the cover charge for women was suddenly $40, and shortly after it jumped to $70 or something for women and $90 for menāall before 1:00 AM.
The first bouncer we interacted with was kind, but an older white bouncer was extremely rude. We were on the guest list and waited in the appropriate line. At one point, we asked another bouncer if we could step away to use the restroom, and he said that was fineāas long as we came back to him. When we returned, he let us through, but the older bouncer stopped us, saying āHey hey, where are you going?ā I told him we were on the guest list, and he responded condescendingly, āYeahhh no youāre not,ā and physically pushed us out of line. He didnāt even give us a chance to show our tickets or the QR code.
Thankfully, another staff member confirmed we had already passed security and explained to him that we were indeed on the list. He just said āOh okayā and let us ināno apology, no acknowledgment.
Once inside, we were disappointed again to find the entire club was outdoors. In 100-degree Vegas heat, that was miserable. It was also so crowded that moving around was almost impossible. We tried to enjoy the night and got drinks, but the bartenders clearly base their attitude on how much you tip. The indoor bartender was nice to us since we tipped well, but I saw him yelling at other guests. We paid $100 for three house shots.
The music was good, but the upstairs/outdoor bartender wasnāt friendly at all. Honestly, they should open the main room for Latino nightsāitās one of the most popular clubs in Vegas, and expectations are high. Sadly, like many places in Vegas, customer service just isnāt a priority. One of the worst clubs...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI arrived in Omnia Saturday night when Lil Jon performed and deejayed.
I purchased a prepaid ticket, which granted me fast entry into the nightclub. The general admission line of patrons who had not already paid looked long, so I felt fortunate to prepay. The security and staff were professional and employed an organized entry system.
Omnia is an extensive and upscale nightclub with a main room and a smaller room called the Heart Room. The rooftop part of the club was closed on the night I attended.
The sound system is top-notch, and they have a sizable dance floor in the center of the main room and a smaller dancefloor in the Heart room. I found the larger-than-life gadget that hangs over the main dancefloor and conducts the light show to be awe-inspiring!
The deejays in both rooms played rap, pop, techno, and Spanish music. The crowd consisted of primarily Caucasian patrons with people of color sprinkled, which I fully expected because I did my research before attending.
The most glaring shortcoming about Omnia is the lack of lighting! I could have stood by a gorgeous woman, but I wouldn't know because I could barely see faces. The people who wore shades had to qualify for temporary legal blindness because I knew they couldn't see anything. The best nightclub settings have excellent lighting, so I can spot an attractive woman from a distance and approach and get to work. At Omnia, the dancefloor is the only place with decent but not great lighting. The lighting in the Heart room exceeded that in the main room.
Omnia is an extensive, upscale, and well-put-together nightclub. The patrons came to have a fun time, and the atmosphere remained festive throughout the night! I deducted a star because of the lack of lighting, and I am not a fan of techno music; I prefer to listen to Rap and R&B all night in a nightclub. However, I understand the deejay rightfully catered to the crowd, and techno certainly did not stop people from having...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe (2 males) purchased 2 VIP admissions with the 100$ gift cards for the 4th of July 2023 show. We arrived late (around 12:45 a.m.) and were worried because the tickets said we should arrive before midnight but we had no problem getting into the venue and the front door staff were pretty nice to us even though we were two guys.
Once inside the club it was really packed leading up to the headliner (who came on at 1:30am). After the headliner the club started clearing out.
The dance floor is notoriously hard to get on unless youāre a female. I even offered to pay 20 USD each to go on the dance floor and the security said no. Meanwhile I watched at least 10 women get let through even though it was āfullā. I would caution male and female couples from going because they will only let your female enter the dance floor. I saw at least 7 guys waiting awkwardly for their girlfriend to come back from the dance floor.
A tip for those unable to get on the dance floor is to go to the second floor infront of the main bar there is an awesome spot to dance there and see the chandelier and dance floor (as seen in my posted video) but you can to be patient or ruthless to get a good spot along the railing.
Drinks are very expensive (50USD). I recommend ordering an AMF drink which is about 75 usd but its pretty much all alcohol which makes it slightly better.
Overall, I went for the music and chandelier light show and I was very happy. We danced lots and had a good time. But donāt expect to be treated as anything special if youāre a male, an unattractive female, or if you donāt have money to spend. I did not spend my 100$ bar card at omnia as omnia suggests because my sister had her card pretty much stolen from a bartender. We did contact Tao who gave us free tickets to a show, but save your bar card for other Tao venues, we opted to use them for Lavo and the Venetians italian buffet and bottomless drinks (which was about 90USD each on the...
