My family and I literally spent a decade in between visits to this extravagant buffet. Our first visit was back on 7 Jun 2014 (several months after moving to this city), and the second/recent visit was on 6 Jul 2024 - needless to say it wasn't planned this way. I made reservations for this buffet ~2.5 months in advance, which is a good thing because you won't find any open slots online at the last minute. I know this buffet allows walk-ins since the group that was behind us in line was a walk-in. I'm not certain how often this buffet allows walk-ins right away and mixed in the same line as the folks who made reservations. Or, if those walk-ins are on an "as feasible" concept; basically if the situation allows it. This brings me to my first, minor complaint about the reservation concept...I wasn't a fan of sharing the same line as the folks who didn't make any reservations. What's the point in adequately reserving your slot if you're able to conduct a walk-in and get seated about the same time as "reserved" customers?
I don't recall every entrée I tried during my initial visit, therefore, I can't provide a true comparison. But I will add that the steamed crab legs were slightly different between both visits. I recall the crab legs being cut in half (lengthwise) during my 2014 visit which made the crab consumption a lot easier and more pleasant. I don't mind breaking my own crab shells but I just remembered how awesome, yet unique that experience was. Perhaps it has to do with the 90 minute time limit...so breaking your own crab shells basically slows down the eating process, preventing you from eating up all the food in that time period? Or perhaps the buffet needed to place more effort on other food options? Regardless, this wasn't a big deal - just something I noticed that was different. Everything else we tried was exceptional...especially the Mexican section (i.e., Birria Tacos, Tostada, Birria Ramen, Vampiro Tacos, etc.). I'm not a big fan of trying Mexican food at buffets since there's so many awesome Mexican restaurants in Las Vegas; however, I'm glad I tried Bacchanal's Mexican section. I'm also not a major fan of desserts, but I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed the desserts at this buffet, especially the Vietnamese Coffee dessert - that was truly on another level.
The service was extraordinary - I wish I would've retrieved the name of our server to give a special shout out here. The décor was nice and brought that modern, relaxing, and upscale feeling. I was a little disturbed by the layout of the tables/chairs because we had so much foot traffic passing behind all three of our seats which made the experience cumbersome. At one point, one customer passed by coughing up a storm without covering his mouth (yes, I get it...it may not be standard practice in other places, nor do some families teach manners anymore). I also had people constantly brushing up (and bumping) my chair as they passed by. As a result, I hope this restaurant considers modifying the walkways and thoroughfares to enable a more pleasurable experience.
The price-to-quality ratio was adequate. I understand that there's several folks out there that will complain about the high prices; however, considering the location of this buffet, food quality, the service, and inflation, I feel that the prices are somewhat on par. My only wish is that this buffet would offer reduced prices for us locals and/or Armed Forces members - perhaps a $5 reduction except for major holidays, when showing a state-issued and/or military identification, respectively. Oh well, I know this buffet is designed mostly for visitors considering the location and I don't anticipate visiting this buffet often because it's located on the strip and there's so many other restaurants for me to try as a local. Overall, this buffet is outstanding! I'm not certain when my next visit will be, but for everyone else visiting (or has residency here), I highly recommend this...

Read moreHad a terrible experience with our waiter at this buffet which ruined our last night in Vegas.
We arrived around 1700 and were seated quite quickly at around 1715. The food choices looked great! We were handed a drinks menu by a waiter who didn’t take the time to explain how the buffet or drinks worked or even if soft drinks were included.
We decided to order two beers and he asked for a credit card. We asked if we could pay cash as we were trying to use up our last bits of cash before returning to the UK. The waiter told us that was fine but the cash would n r to be waiting for him as soon as he returned with our drinks. The attitude and the way he said this was pretty rude but we overlooked it and got the cash ready including a tip which I wish we didn’t leave! He came back, took the money, no thanks for the tip and walked off.
We made a start on the buffet and when I returned with my first plate of food, I noticed my fork hadn’t been washed properly and had a bit of leftover food in it. I tried to flag down the waiter who ignored me and waited for him to return. By this point 5-10 mins had gone by and I wasn’t able to make a start on the food which was wasting time during our 90 min seating.
I eventually went to find him myself and ask for a new fork. When I found the waiter, he firstly ignored me and I had to follow him and say excuse me again. When I explained my fork was not clean and the reason I had come up was because I had been waiting, he turned his back to me and walked off. I was unsure whether to follow or not but I did. There was no apology or please follow me. He then muttered something under his breath to another waitress and handed me a new fork with no apology. When I asked him what he said, he glared at me and said nothing for 30 seconds before saying ‘what I said was excuse me senorita’ to the other waitress. His whole attitude was intimidating, bullying and really ruined our experience to the point where me and my husband wanted to leave.
We managed to find a manager who apologised, assigned us a new waitress and gave us two glasses of mimosas as an apology. We were grateful to her and for that but I’ve returned to the UK now feeling really sad at how we were treated and spoken to by him. I regret leaving him a tip for drinks.
I understand the job is probably really busy and stressful at times but I work as a doctor in a busy hospital and I’d never speak or behave to anyone the way he was with us.
Apart from that, the food selection is good and the manager is great just be wary that if he is still working there, you may feel intimidated and have your night ruined as...
