Sharing in hopes that this bartender can just think twice about what he considers to be an appropriate joke . Last Sunday around noon a group of us came in and sat at the bar; I ordered a speciality cocktail.

I’ve eaten 3 out of the 5 gummies that were on the rim at this point. The bartender walks over looking super concerned and says “you weren’t suppose to eat that many at once, you read the menu right? Are you aware of how much THC are in each?”… “Do you have any medical conditions? I’ve seen someone be taken out on a stretcher for taking that much at once”….

I’m like are you kidding me? This is a joke right? I’m starting to freak the hell out. We have a full day of walking around Vegas to do and a flight to catch in 6 hours home. I don’t smoke or do edibles, I have anxiety and panic attacks and THC amplifies it, also don’t have any knowledge about edibles and it’s Vegas so I believed him more than I didn’t. This point I’m panicking inside like BAD.

He continues on “you didn’t read the menu? You know this is going to show up on a drug test for at least a few days”… he goes on and on about how im feeling and if I need for him to call an ambulance…

At this point I’m like “dude… just back off as if I’m about to feel the affects of overdosing on edibles I need to stay calm… after like 3-4 minutes of this he’s like “I’m kiddding”… straight ass faced the whole time.

We awkwardly laughed, I joked about him having to buy me a drink now, which he didn’t lol, we paid and I left with crippling anxiety for the next few hours in the middle of Vegas. I’ve been a server for 15+ years, we some times put our foot on our mouths or tell jokes that don’t land but this was odd, cruel and...

I was here a few weeks ago while in Vegas for my daughter's wedding. I had heard of this place but going inside is truly a whole new experience!! Now word of advice...if your toofuses (LOL) are bad, this might not be the place for you! Otherwise, if you are a candy fiend, there is something for everyone in here!

What I liked most was that walking around, they had candy that I didn't even know could be candy. In addition, as someone who grew up with a 'candy store lady', I thought it was dope that this place had a lot of the candies I grew up with (shout-out for the gigantic Chico-Stix!) on Chicago's South Side!

There's two floors here...bottom floor simply had all the sugarly, colorful confections that you want, and the second floor, you can buy all kinds of chocolate by the pound. Now, it's a bit pricey, but still...there is something for everyone!!

I also hear that they have hellafied candy-inspired drinks; in fact, I did see the bar on the second floor, but I didn't partake. I might get a taste next time I'm in town, though!

Only minor dig is that the workers (including the second floor cashier) really seemed like they didn't want to be there and were not that pleasant. They were not rude at all, but you just got that vibe, if you understand how I mean that. Could have simply been an off day...but as a Communication professor I pay attention to non-verbal communication big-time, and they clearly were not feeling being at work that day!

Anyhow, go ahead and indulge your sweet tooth here, especially if you're an old head like me!!
