I have heard so many wonderful things about Primrose and I was really excited to try this place out for Sunday Brunch!
If you’re a MyVegas player, there are actually quite a few rewards you can redeem here: free appetizer with purchase of an entree free pastry with purchase of an entree upgrade to bottomless mimosas with purchase of one mimosa
The boyfriend and I both redeemed the free appetizer and had called the restaurant prior to redeeming it at the mlife desk just to make sure that we could both use the reward if we were dining at the same table. One of the biggest letdowns is that the free appetizer is just the shareable plates, NOT the rest of the menu for their appetizers. I guess I should have asked before redeeming it but I was so looking forward to a few appetizers and was bummed to find out you could only redeem it on the fried green beans of the chicken tenders. Still, we ordered both since they were free anyway.
FRIED GREEN BEANS ($15) - wow, this is a delicious appetizer with an amazing sauce gribiche to complement it! You’ll actually get more than just green beans in this appetizer so if you’re a fan of deep fried veggies, this is definitely worth trying out.
CHICKEN TENDERS ($19) - so moist and juicy and small enough to be guiltless! While I tend to shy away from ordering chicken tenders anywhere, Primrose happens to have an exceptionally juicy appetizer that is certainly worth your money.
AVOCADO TOAST WITH SMOKED SALMON ADD-ON ($19) - if you are looking for one of the most aesthetic yet delicious avocado toasts of your life then this is it! I’m not a huge fan of avo toast myself but the smoked salmon sounded delicious and it surely did not disappoint. While the bread itself is fairly hard because you can’t get away with a soggy loaf of bread when the entire ingredient list is sitting on top, I found that even with a steak knife it was a bit difficult to cut through it if you were eating the crust. The poached egg was cooked perfectly, though, and made for a very aesthetically pleasing video!
EGGS BENEDICT ($19) - you can’t go wrong with a classic plate of eggs benny and when the eggs are runny and the muffin is perfectly toasted, it’s like biting into a beautiful symphony. The fingerling potatoes were a nice touch to fill up your appetite or soak up the countless glasses of mimosas as well!
LA COLOMBE COLD BREW COFFEE ($8) - I would honestly pass on this because a small can of coffee sounds like such a bad deal, but if you’ve got a hangover and you’re in dire need of a caffeine fix, then this is worth adding onto your order. They’re happy to provide you with a cup of ice, creamer, and sugar, so the small can goes a long way and you can probably take the rest of it home if you never finish it.
The ambiance of this restaurant is definitely excellent, but lost 1 star off of its rating due to the lackluster service experience we received. While we understand that nobody likes to work during the pandemic, we felt that the vibe of the entire crew was very standoffish....
Yes, the server would come to check up on us once in a while just for the sake of doing their job but when we start to stack plates and the busser takes forever to take it off of our table when it isn’t even busy in the restaurant, it doesn’t make you feel like they actually care about your dining experience and are essentially just waiting for you to finish the meal and go.
I do hope that this was just a one-off situation and I would definitely be willing to try this place out again. I do think it is a bit overpriced for brunch but you are also dining on the strip so you can expect this price range to be within the same range of its...
Read moreDo.Not.Bother. unless you are young and foolish and have never taken pictures of food before to post on the Internet where a better picture of said food already exists.. go right ahead and waste your time and money. I have waited years to go here for brunch and on Sunday after over an hour wait finally was seated for brunch at Primrose, along with my hubby and our in laws whose first time in Vegas. So two couples. There was a special menu for brunch that was a sampler tower for $42 and it came with a toasting glass of prosecco OR mimosa. I order for me and my husband this sampler tower with prosecco and my in laws order the sampler tower with a Mimosa. The second she says mimosa to the waiter, and i say waiter not server because he was useless, this man then scoffed at my in law and arrogantly mansplained how she was wrong and how it was only a sample of prosecco. Mind you the MENU said we had a CHOICE OF drink and this waiter dismissed not only the customer but the written text of the menu clearly giving the customer a choice. So he brings out 1 tower normal size to say we are splitting it and 2 glasses of half pour prosecco. No OJ in sight. My in law didnt want to complain but she didn't really get to enjoy the drink and instead tried adding fruit from the sampler to make what she wanted from a restaurant that should have provided it. At some point i get up to speak with a manager privately to try and rectify this for my in law and myself because again i have wanted to come to this establishment knowing i would have a good brunch experience for a long time. I speak with the manager and explain that when we ordered exactly as it was on the menu (i grabbed a menu from the hostess to explain/show) the server rudely suggested we were wrong and brought out what we did not ask or want to pay for. I asked if she could make it right and she asked where we sat and i went back to my table. Considering all we needed was a little carafe of OJ, i didnt think this would be something HARD to procure from a restaurant boasting in their brunch specials. However as the meal winded down and no oj or tiny mimosa was brought out it was clear that management of Primrose was not going to make it right. I was not asking for a free meal, or free alcohol, i just wanted what was offered by the establishment and ignorantly denied by its server and ultimately its management. This is truly sad for the issue was just a simple training to the server and a small carafe of OJ brought to our table. Seeing how no effort was made to rectify this poor service im assuming Primrose management is incapable and unprofessional. NOW I would like a refund of my entire experience. We paid with our room key and our family paid with credit card. I look forward to a follow up from management at Primrose regarding our terrible experience for Brunch but i doubt they are capable of any consistent follow through. The experience was awful, an absolute joke considering it was $85 for 1 tower with food barely thrown on there and couldn't have been enough foor for 4 people to sample let alone 2. We completely overpaid for a terrible experience. Please. Please. Please. Do yourself a favor and don't go to Primrose for anything, its a tourist money trap. If you think im over reacting over not getting OJ then imagine the managements incapability of bringing out OJ to a table that already had the prosecco to mix. So...
Read moreWow. Cannot even believe what happened here this morning. Imagine being a customer, enjoying your first breakfast on vacation, then receiving the bill and to your surprise the menu item you ordered is 5x the cost that is actually represented in the menu! And you ordered 3 of them! Well, that is what happened to us this morning. Incredibly unbelievable!! So, naturally, we kindly requested that a manager please visit our table, so we can show him the menu and why we are shocked at how much we are being charged versus what the menu suggests is the cost for the item. As a customer, you feel a bit mislead and over-charged. Exactly the definition of a bait & switch. I will attach photos of the actual menu and my receipt so the readers of this review can judge whether I’m being out of line here, or if the restaurant needs to change their menu to be more accurate. Buyer Beware, because manager was rude and didn’t care… he literally just walked away and avoided us! Needless to say, we paid and left, feeling very much like we were treated unfairly. I was able to make the suggestion that they clarify the menu using Roman numerals instead, and just using digital numbers for the prices. Just so customers would not get confused.
In the photos, you can see the menu shows that each juice is labeled with Name, then a number… exactly like the coffe and iced tea we ordered.
In the next picture, you see the receipt that arrived… turns out that the Juices are version numbers and the prices for the juices are in the heading above them labeled as - “PRESSED JUICERY 10”
Now, I am a pretty well educated individual with a Doctorate level degree for an education (Juris Doctorate, to be precise), I can read pretty thoroughly. If this isn’t the exact definition of misleading, I don’t know what is!
I suggest people actually take a minute to review your bills/checks/receipts when your servers drop them off before casually pulling out your cards and paying.
I just cannot believe that things like this are happening and businesses are so blatantly taking advantage of people. Unbelievable!
Very disappointed in the way management chose to handle themselves on this matte. Rude and unapologetic, and would not budge on a compromise!! Stay away, there are way better options than this in a city...
