I bought a couple 100$ gift cards for my families vacation we took to celebrate my daughters birthdays. We went twice, the first time on the 22nd and our bill was 125.81$ which includes a 20 percent service charge for tip. We paid with both 100$ gift cards and never got a paid receipt. Our server was Mariah she did well and when we told her she said to give her a google review. We had 74.19$ left on our card so we planned on going back the next night to use the remaining balance. I ended up buying another 50$ gift card to cover the rest of what our bill would be and have some left for the kids to buy candy at the shop. On this second day I called to make a reservation and requested they made a note that we are celebrating 2 birthdays because I wanted my kids to be surprised. When we got there we were seated right by the host stand by the open door and it was so hot that right away we had asked if there was a different table we could sit at and patiently waited a bit to be sat upstairs. We got there at 9. We already knew what we wanted when we arrived. We ordered at 9:24 and when I told the server we were going to order a shake for dessert she asked what because it was about to be last call. Our food came out fairly quick but when the server checked on us we had to ask for the margarita we had ordered when we ordered the food. She got that and the couple of other things we asked for right away. At about 9:50 she said she would check on our shake and didn't end up bringing it until around 10:20. They close at 10. The server did not do anything for my daughters birthdays and I even had my phone out ready to record. My daughter had to use the bathroom and we asked her to wait cause we didn't want her to miss it. We didn't say anything and just gave the gift card codes when we got our bill at 10:30. By this time we are the last ones in the restaurant when other tables came in after us. The candy shop had closed so we couldn't buy them the candy with the remaining balance so we planned on coming back the next day just to use it since it was our last day in Vegas. Server comes back to tell us the 50$ gift card was the only on that had a balance and that both of our 100$ gift cards were redeemed and that we owed 68$. At this point I'm livid because we should still have the 74.19$ and the server had to get her manager. I told the manager that the bill was only 125.81$ the night before and he asked for a receipt and I told him we never got a paid receipt but we didn't think that would be a problem and I told him that our server was Mariah and I could tell him exactly what we ordered and that they need to do something because our 74$ somehow disappeared and we wouldn't have come back otherwise. He left for a moment and came back saying that he got it figured out and told us that there was still a credit of 6$ and change to use for the shop that we had to use right then and decided he would go pick something from the shop for our kids and brought them each a sugar factory water bottle worth more than our 6$ credit. Thank you to the manager who took care of us when this happened but it should have never happened and we will never be returning. I'd like to think Mariah didn't steal the rest of our money and can't say for sure that she did but it seems likely that's what happened. Curious to see myself I checked the remaining balance on both cards and it actually tells us they were both fully redeemed on the 22nd when Mariah was our server. I really hope if that's the case she does not do this to another family again. Also when 20 percent gratuity is already included the staff needs to do better comunicating and remembering stuff like BIRTHDAYS because we chose this place to celebrate my daughters turning 13 and 5 and they ruined it for us. What a...
Read moreI want to love this place, but the quality of the food and cocktails does not reflect the outrageous price points.
Example: their signature cocktail goblets are $45. The photos on menu versus what you get are completely misrepresented.
As a Food and Cocktail blogger I chose the cocktails that had not only great presentation but a wonderful mix of spirits and juices...what we got tasted like juice on a large mountain of dry ice. Half of the goblets are taken up by the dry ice, and the gummies the drinks are topped with float to the bottom and get stuck to the dry ice. It's disappointing.
For kids, they can enjoy the fun cocktails minus alcohol, and it's only $6 less than the adult price. Doesn't make sense when Sugar Factory claims to put so many different spirits into one drink.
Ex: SOUL MAN GOBLET $45 Menu reads: This powerfully flavor packed goblet will knock you right out of the ring…sweet flavors of fresh peach and fresh pineapple which are brightened up by refreshing lemonade and topped off with Teremana Tequila Blanco. The addition of triple sec and Hennessy make this an outrageously delicious cocktail. Gummy cherries, tropical drops, strawberry rock candy, and a green lei wrapped goblet add all the right notes.
On the menu, The cocktail is a beautiful orange and red, wrapped with a lai.
What we got: Yellow/green cocktail, no lei, no gummy cherries, tropical drops, no rock candy - instead some orange gummies. The drink tasted like pineapple and peach juice on dry ice.
I understand supply chain issues and products not being available…so explain that to your staff and clients.
The signature Fourth of July shake: $20, but it was essentially a large mug of vanilla ice cream and a lot of whipped cream. mug was covered in frosting. Toppings were a few gummies and a rock candy stick. Pretty average.and presentation looks nothing like what is pictured on menu.
Food: Tried the slider sampler and appetizer samplers. Both options extremely dry and lackluster. From the sliders to the onion rings. $57 for both.
Service: You will get some staff that is attentive, others that you have to waive down to come to your table. The Bussers and food runners are awesome! Both times I visited I spoke with management and they are great and listen to feedback. Thank you, Thomas, for inviting me and my daughters back for a visit to the candy store.
Ambiance: It's a party! Loud dance and hip hop, decor is beautiful and it's definitely meant for photos.
Fees: When the check comes, there is an automatic service charge included, but they still expect you to add an additional tip - which we did our first time around as we didn't notice the automatic service charge of 20% Fine print says 3% goes to restaurant and the remaining 17% goes to staff.
Example: one of their signature goblet drinks for my kids came to $50. One drink plus automatic service charge plus tax. Absolutely the biggest rip off. I'm a member of the bartenders guild and am an avid cocktail enthusiast and craft cocktail maker. I will gladly pay a lot for quality ingredients, but this is a poor...
Read moreFeels like more of a bar than a restaurant. A restaurant atmosphere the music should be kept at a down low so families and couples can decently have a conversation without developing a migraine or a headache! There was hip hop r&B and rap music blasting throughout speakers which I don't understand why rap music is appropriate for a dine-in restaurant experience. Unfortunately our server lacked common guest service skills. Never told us his name nor came back and asked us if the food is okay or if we needed anything else such as salt or pepper also there was two forks that had cheese dried on it. Two plates had small spots of cheese as well and the water they gave us tasted more like tap water than filtered quality water! The gentleman servicing our table was quite tall dark skin black hair never told us his name. I had better gust service from coffee shops and McDonald staff when it comes to checking up on their customers! Food quality is honestly decent I give the food quality 5 out of 10.the sliders my brother ordered the top buns were too hard for him to chew and the pasta my sister ordered unfortunately taste not that good for the price they're asking! I also so asked for a big cup they use for their special drinks. had scuff marks on it looks pre-used does not look brand new. Also the individual the server like I said did not get his name he did not introduce himself properly he should not be working such a job! Instead of bringing it in a box or a bag he brings the cup just as is puts it on the table and walks away saying sorry..... I was told if you're sorry don't say it show it by your actions! This was the last place we planned to visit before heading back to California unfortunately it sucks when you go home with a bad memory! Forewarning if you plan to take someone on a date or even a friend. atmosphere is not ideal for a date or even a friend to friend conversation! Music is too loud and not fitted for a restaurant dine-in experience. Never have gone to restaurant that plays rap music. With below par trained service. Unfortunately I would not recommend this. Sorry but no management could train their stuff better also the individuals who brought us our sandwiches their English was kind of wonky. I couldn't understand what they were saying in terms of whose...
