Worst experience we've ever had at a Wendy's. Visited this location on Eastern Avenue in Las Vegas on a Sunday afternoon at about 3:00 p.m.. When we arrived, there was a family of four in the restaurant, two of which were at the walk-up counter placing their order, that was it. With our granddaughter, my wife and I waited patiently as the two ladies at the counter took forever to place their order. As we waited, a gentleman got in line behind us. When the ladies finally finished placing their order, we stepped up to the counter and the person working the walk-up turned to those in the kitchen and loudly announced twice "four people in line!" Not sure what this meant, is it time to call in the National Guard? I need help at the counter, or perhaps he was simply stating that with four people in line, that was the current record of customers for the day. It didn't matter because, nothing happened. Before he took our order, he said, "if you would please give me one moment". From that point, he turned away and began collecting each of the items for the order from the two ladies in front of us and waited for items that were in process. So we continued to wait. From what I could see, there were at least seven employees. One working the drive-thru, which had only one car by the way, the one working the counter and at least five in the kitchen, two of which appeared to be supervisor level, perhaps a shift leader and an assistant manager. I watched the employees in complete dismay as most of which were not really doing anything. There was one kid working the french fries, he reminded me of Louie Anderson working at McDowell's in the movie Coming to America, "see right now, I'm washing lettuce, soon I'll be on fries, in a year, I'll make assistant manager". Our patience ran out and we left. In this competitive world of fast-food, customer service becomes key. We have already reduced the number of fast-food chains that we patronize because of the poor treatment shown to our law enforcement. This Wendy's on Eastern is a location that lost...
Read moreThis Wendy's is great. Fast, friendly and great prices. The kid in the drive through was very polite. She even double checked my order to make sure it was correct. I was surprised at the lack of cars clogging the drive through ( it was sunday afternoon ). But who am I to argue with great food at a low cost. And the drive through not being to populated. It all worked out very well for me. And enough can't beat said about how polite the kid working the drive through was. A true delight to be treated in a very nice manner. The manager must be top notch. To employ and train these kids to be friendly. It wasnt to long ago when the same value menu combo cost half the price. I guess that just goes with raising the minimum wage. That pay hike has to be passed on to the consumers. Or they will just train robots how to do the job. One way or another it's still nice to be treated well by a friendly kid. Working their first job probably. The only complaint about the store. Is the location. I know it's been here for about 25 years. But it's hard to pull into the parking lot from eastern. It always has been. Plus it's dangerous pulling out of the driverhrough onto eastern. In fact it's very dangerous to pull out on eastern from the drive through. Perhaps that's a reason there wasn't any wait in line. But nothing should be held back when it comes to commending on these kids service. Outstanding to say the least. Next time I'm in the area I'll risk pulling back on eastern. Just to get some great service at a pretty good price. All in all I'd have to say my visit was a pleasurable one. And I will be back....
