$65 yearly membership fee | Get the Perk Credit card for 5% cash back on all BJs purchase | Don’t forget to take the paper coupons, or clip them from the app Pretty much all household items are available in bulk, with very competitive price. We used to buy toilet papers, paper towels, and other bulk items from Amazon, but later found BJs prices to be much better. Especially after having our baby, BJs membership was a must, as diapers, wipes, formula all were cheaper and larger compared to Amazon. This BJs sells kitchenware, lawn/yard items, seasonal necessities, electronics (TV, vacuum, oven, microwave, batteries, and lots more). They also got poultry, seafood, dairy items, breakfast, snacks, medicine, candies, drinks, sodas, coffee, baked goods, vegetables, fruits, personal care, bode care, vitamins, greeting cards, and NJ Lottery. Their online ordering and curb side pick up has improved massively after COVID started. The customer services is also convenient, you can take your coupons after purchase, if you forgot to use them at the time of purchase.

BJ’s is amazing, especially if you buy in bulk but their groceries aren’t the only things you can get for crazy bargain deals. Last winter we needed to save money on heating costs so we bought this very pretty space heater for a fraction of the price that you would find it for new online or in other stores. It works great and has a little remote so you don’t have to get up. They shift around their seasonal items like this so at the end of every season we like to look at what’s on sale and see if we can capitalize on any bargains. We go regularly for water and paper products because we were tired of having to spend so much money weekly / monthly on the same things so we figured stocking in advance was the way to go. We also like to browse their end of season clothes because occasionally you can find great deals (like $3 per pair of pants) on some fun casual items and more.

I have mixed feelings about BJs in general. The prices are always fluctuating and even more when coupons are used. I went today to buy a few things and ran across the 2 pack Kidde smoke detector. The sign said 27.99 with the clipless coupon. I go to the register and it’s 34.99, not even the original 32.99 written on the sign. The attendant states it expired, so why wasn’t that sign down. It’s been there for more than a month I’m guessing. This has happened with other items as well. They have the coupon book out and it would be the past weeks, and all coupons are expired. Disappointing.

The selection of everything they have is great. The general staff are quality people, they are however extremely overworked. I've been at this location for several years shopping and there's always one thing that's a problem it's the management. Apparently in their point of view they like to overwork their cashiers to such an extent that there's only a few of them on at a time while the store is full but they'll have multiple Lanes for self checkout wide open at times more self-checkout stations than open registers. this is ridiculous considering that you pay a premium to be a member of this club and then you actually have to work for the place to get your groceries out the door because they can't be bothered to make sure that they have enough staff on to ensure that people are actually being serviced. it's ridiculous to have to go through that store find all the things that you found all to come down to seeing only two to three cashiers working and up to 9 or 12 self-checkout stations operating. This is management taking its membership for granted and it's also management not keeping people in positions of work where they're needed. Often I've talked to these cashiers and they're always working later than they were supposed to be getting off you could see the frustration and their faces.there's one manager in particular that has her head wrapped in a scarf of some sort and she is the most rude and obnoxious manager I've ever dealt with in any service industry it's almost as though she treats her employees like they should pay her to be in her presence that's how blatantly disrespectful she is I was actually standing at the end of a line one time as she was closing out a register while the store was full to let it go let another guy you know shut down the drawer and not be a cashier anymore and she had the nerve because I was at the end of the line to tell me if somebody gets on the line behind you tell them that this line is closed and my reply was that's not my job and I'm not like the rest of the fools over here to the right of me that are doing your job for you. Ridiculously frustrating to see a location that has quality products quality people and just mismanaged...

BJs in Paramus is the worst.

BJs Paramus worst place of employees.I was at self checkout & the employee Spanish rude for years & never helps or takes a while helping me while helping the Spanish people.I ring the assistance button & ignores me.She made me wait & walked away. I yelled out hello excuse me & she said you don't need to scream at me. She saw my assistance light & walked away.Paramus cancelled my membership lying saying I used bad words because they knew I was going to complain & they supported their workers to prevent her from getting in trouble. Membership wants me to go beg the store to reinstate my membership. NEVER. Beware customers they are not nice & support their staff. Horrible company. They won't give me the money I paid till Sept & my rewards I earned. That Spanish representative has been rude to me for years never helping me even though I press the button & help others who don't press the button. Someone from the store called me saying you have a complaint & I said who are you. She quickly told her name & I had to ask twice and still didn't know who called me. When I tried to tell her she was not nice & backed up her employee. I called the manager Stephanie on Friday who was there that day & told how they cancelled my membership & said will talk to the regional manager Yensley. Stephanie says I didn't yell and was calling for help. Stephanie never called me back. God is watching. They knew they could mistreat me & get away with it since there was no proof. BJ's membership Alan says he can't do anything it's the regional manager who made that decision & cancelled membership at the store. Been a member since 1980's. 20 years ago started going here since it's closer & people were nice then but last 10 years horrible workers. They all talk Spanish. You can tell they are prejudiced by the way they look at you & mistreat you. The Rutherford workers are nicer and should have just gone there when the workers started being rude. I want my money so I can cancel their credit card. Time to go to Costco which everyone says it's better....

I used to be a member years ago, but my family no longer buys in bulk, so it didn't pay to have a membership anymore. Problem is, my son, who has autism, OCD, and Selective Eating Disorder, for breakfast ONLY eats a certain pancake sold frozen at bjs. I went in to my Paramus, nj, store today and explained all this to the manager at customer serviced and asked if I could just purchase a box or two of that item without having a membership, and she was very rude as she explained if I wanted to buy something, I need a membership or I'd have to pay a 20% premium. I asked for a guest one day pass or a trial three month membership, which I see in just about every paper I get, and she wouldn't do it. I finaally had to approach a woman on line and ask if she wouldn't mind scanning her card for me, just I could buy this item. Thankfully, she was very nice about it and totally understanding, not like the customer service manager. I'll tell you one thing, they're sure as heck not getting my membership money now. I was considering rejoining just to be able to buy this one item, but now, forget that. I'll have to scour the internet or call the pancake company to find out where else...
