First off, this is my first and only Negative review so it takes something really egregious for me to take the time to post a 1 star review.
This review is specifically for the (petite statured) female employee who worked the fish/crickets area this past Friday August 1, 2025 between 130pm and 145pm. This is the 5th or 6th time I've dealt with this miserable employee and she must hate the world or something. She was in the process of releasing bagged fish back into their tanks (presumably after tank cleaning) so I politely waited and stood by the kiosk without interrupting her, expecting she'd at least acknowledge us and let us know she would be with us in a moment. She proceeded to just give us the death stare while angrily returning the fish to their tanks and spilling water all over the floor. Again, she must hate the world. After a couple minutes of her little death stares and ignoring, I asked employees near the register for help. One of them went up to this miserable woman and asked her to help us with crickets. With her tiny death stare and no words, she bagged the crickets and dropped them on her pushcart with no eye contact or a word as I picked them up. I was unable to get someone on the phone that day or over the weekend, but I will be following up with a call to their management first thing this week, even though, based on these reviews, management doesn't seem to care. I see there is an open store manager position listed online, likely due to nobody wanting to deal with miserable employees like this little lady. Read moreI am not one to write reviews but I have had enough with this pet smart store. I usually go to the Pet smart in north Bergen nj but I decided to come to this store for a store pick up since it was closer to home. I get to the register an older lady with light blonde/white hair at register 1 on 8/18/25 at 11am , and from reading other reviews her name can possibly be “Mary” I explain to her that I have some items in my cart that are on sale on the pet smart website she ignores what I said and proceeds to ask me if I had a phone number. As I am showing her on my phone the sale price alone with the item she was very annoyed I’m sorry but I have many animals at home and if items are on sale I believe I’m able to receiving that discounted price online . She made it very uncomfortable and this is not a person who should be at a cash register at 11am with an attitude like that. She barely made any eye contact with me . I also told her I had an online order which she helped me with she rolled the cart towards me prints out my receipt I said “ thank you” and again was ignored. Horrible way to treat people. As I am putting all my stuff in 1 cart she attends to another customer and that customer said “ thank you” and all of a sudden she has manners and says “your welcome”. I come to petsmart on a weekly basis and I will never come to this location again. Let me not even start with the banfield pet hospital which I will also giving a review.
The worst part of it all is the fact that this lady has had an issue with many customers from what I am reading and she still has a job. Shame on whoever her manger is that allows her to continue to treat customers as she does with such horrible manners and customer...
Read moreI made an appointment with the groomer a week and a half ago. With everything going on with the pandemic and it being hard to find a groomer in my area, I was willing to TRAVEL 45 minutes to this Petsmart location for the first time. I never got a confirmation call Or text (which I understood with everything going on) so I took it upon myself to call them the Friday before my appointment to confirm the time. (my appointment was for Monday Memorial Day). The woman on the phone tells me my appointment is for Monday at 11am, which is PERFECT and exactly the time I remember booking because I know I am traveling from far away and that would allow me enough time to get my dog there on time.
My biggest mistake was not asking the girl for her name, the morning of my appointment I get a call from the store telling me that my appointment was actually for 9AM and they cannot squeeze me in nor accommodate me. I explain to the woman on the phone my situation and how I HAD TO CALL THEM to confirm and I wasn’t given the correct appointment or some kind of mistake was made on their end. The woman just kept on telling me they don’t have availability for 3 weeks and was not helpful at all. Not only are they UNORGANIZED but what happened to customer service? Especially when someone from your staff made a mistake? I will never recommend anyone to go to this groomer simply because of how they handled the situation and their lack of...
