Casual, vintage atmosphere. Relaxing. Taco salad's pretty good - they have high chairs. Waitstaff's helpful, happy & informative. You order at the counter & pay when you order. Also get refills at the counter so you have to wait in line behind the people who are ordering or wait til the line's down. Good Wi-Fi, have to ask for password. 🔵 Very affordable down home cooking. Got the medium taco salad ($4⁹⁹ plus tip). Lots of people in line after I sat down 🔵 Signs from the pre 1950s adorn every wall. Antler halltree-like sculptures, saddles, 50s style wood chairs reinforced w/twisted wire like a barbed-wire fence corner post. 🔵 Single unisex restroom, w/50s movie posters - Audie Murphy, Randolph Scott, even an Exlax poster. 🔵 One guy had a T-shirt captioned: "Half The Size Twice The Violence". I asked: What's that for? His answer: "The Midget World Wrestling Federation." 🔵 Altogether, a relaxing, nostalgic, amusing Mini Adventure....

I have over 60 check-ins at this place on another rating service. My review of this place is that this is the absolute must eat at restaurant in Paris, Texas. From the atmosphere, customer service, food quality, food quanity, and all around awesomeness - this is the place to visit.

Be aware that they are not open for dinner or Sunday’s. But everything on the menu is great. My favorite is the taco salad, it is the bomb diggity. Next would be either the chicken fried steak or the cheeseburger with bacon and jalapeños. One thing is for sure - you cannot go wrong, unless you arrive late for lunch, then you might be tableless.

This is in response to Ryan Pence review. The food was excellent. I spoke to several at the event As well and heard nothing but great reviews. The Chicken was far from dry! As for running out of food, the last 10 or so people coming through the line did not have an option to choose the steak or chicken, more people chose the chicken fried steak than expected. If the school had sent out a survey/order form to choose which plate option your requesting prior to the event, I’m sure it would be easier to prepare the appropriate amount for each item for the company catering.
