What happened, Chipotle? Seriously! Remember when you’d wait in line, inside the restaurant, and ordered all your favorite ingredients and the person closing the tortilla skillfully managed to fit everything in? You could ask for extra cheese all day long too! After paying, and grabbing your favorite Tabasco condiment, your only concern would be where’d you be napping for the next couple of hours after eating so much food! Not anymore. When Chipotlane first appeared, during the COVID pandemic, my family and I were very impressed. One of our favorite places to eat, which we did a couple times a week easy, now had a drive-thru! Furthermore, it was exclusively for online orders. But the milk soon turned sour when the portion sizes became HALF what it used to be. Additionally, when asking for extra cheese (never a problem INSIDE the restaurant), we were told we couldn’t. Very soon, we went to Chipotle a lot less often, once or twice a month, until we became so fed up of paying for something that no longer filled us up and we decided to boycott it for a while. Today, after having no Chipotle for two months, we finally decided to give this location another shot. We ordered online, then drove to the location. We waited in line for no less than thirty minutes (I would only be speculating as to why it took so long when there was only four cars ahead of us). When we got home, I excitedly prepared my arm for some heavy burrito lifting. Nope. To my dismay, my burrito was as light as a Santiago’s breakfast burrito. The burrito bowl was sparse also—only a few pieces of chicken. Well, we won’t be going back for some time. I’ll check back in if/when we do. I hope your experience at this location is a far better one.

Today - 3/14/2022 - I ordered from Chipotlane... I'm a glutton for punishment, I guess. What's the definition of insanity? Well, I suppose I'm part of the reason Chipotle is still in business. If I keep going, they keep making money.
It appears the crux of the problem is the pickup option - ordering ahead. From the comments online, I gather that most are saying they ordered ahead, as did I, and are being cheated out of the proper portion of food, and the order is wrong much of the time. I shall be writing a complaint, as I did last time, on Chipotlefeedback.com
I dropped the star rating from two to one. This is unacceptable. I ordered extra rice, extra pinto beans, and extra cheese. The portions in the burrito were so small, the tortilla overlapped (those who frequent this establishment know what I mean). I am going to purchase a burrito ahead, next time, and then go inside and order the exact same thing. I will post pictures when I do.
If you have read this far, I am sure it's because you, too, have been cheated by Chipotle. I implore you to write a review and then go to Chipotlefeedback.com to complain about this restaurant.
I really like the food (when they do it right), and really hope to make a change at this restaurant.
Thanks for reading. I must leave now, as I’m still hungry and must...
Read moreDO NOT EAT HERE BEFORE READING THIS: This was our favorite Chipotle in the area. Southlands is awful so we would go out of our way to get chipotle UNTIL tonight. My wife went here to get food for 5. As she was ordering they were refilling the steam heater water (which is normal) but as he was filling it he allowed it to splash into the good food being served to customers. My wife walked out. She was disgusted. Myself as a certified FOOD SAFETY manager this is absolutely not okay. This could cause people to get very sick, and even die in some cases. Here is why, the steam water used in restaurant food warmers or steam tables is not intended for consumption and should not be consumed. While the steam itself is just water vapor, the water within the warmer may contain contaminants, cleaning chemicals, or food particles that are not safe for human consumption. She went back in to get his name and speak to the manager. They advised her his name is Corbin and she grabbed a business card for the GM. Folks, he is the GENERAL MANAGER. And he was rude on top of it. The point of this post is to help others understand the severity of these issues when eating out. As a consumer we should be able to trust what restaurants serve. As we have recently seen with McD this isn't always the case on foods you bring in but it is the case when you can prevent it. This is a presentable incident. This was and is neglect to consumers. Shame on Corbin as a GM. What other short cuts does he provide his young staff? The FDA will be notified as a precaution to my fellow neighbors. I'm sure they have cameras to identify any other mishandling of food products served to our community. Corbin Bailey is the GM of this location. Chipotle hasn't cared about fixing the bad service and lack of leadership with in the area, I just hope they care enough now to step in from a food safety standpoint for their consumers. This is unacceptable. Honestly the probably is companies continue to be cheap, not pay, hiring people that have no experience to run their operations and have no experience in the task given, this includes customer service in a customer...
Read moreHands down, one of the best Chipotles I go to!!! I have been going in for a little over a year now even though it is a few minutes out of my way compared to other chipotles. I typically go about 2-3 times a week.
When I go inside, the staff is always friendly and polite and they actually look happy to be there (compared to a chipotle just down the street where I feel like I've somehow wronged the employees by eating there); the food is always fresh (looks like it just came off the grill, is full, no dried up food around the containers); the kitchen is always clean; and somehow the food tastes more rich and how it is supposed to taste.
When I go through the drive-through (yes they have a Chipotlane drive through), my food is ALWAYS ready on time; I have never had a meal made incorrectly.
This place and the people who work to make it so here deserve Chipotle of the Year!! Amazing job!!!! :D
(I go out of my way to go to Chipotle Crown Crest every time; last week didn't feel like driving so far so I decided just to give the Chipotle off Mainstreet another chance. LOL big mistake. I placed my order 30 minutes in advance for a 1:00 pickup time. I waited around inside the store until 1:25 before they finally had it ready. Apparently they did not close the container, however; so when I got home I pulled the bag out of my car and my Chipotle fell right through the bottom of the bag onto my garage floor because it had leaked everywhere. The employees were apologetic and offered to give me another one, but then I had to clean up that mess and drive all the way back, just to stand in line for 10 minutes, get a new meal, and drive back home. So the whole process took about an hour and a half just to get food. Will never go to Chipotle Mainstreet again. The sad part is it isn't really the employee's faults - they are WAY too busy and do not have enough people or space to keep up. Corporate needs to make their location a lot larger with a lot more employees and a lot more space.)
Chipotle on Crown Crest on the other hand is...
