My sisters and I went in to get our long sought after sister tattoos. we had pictures ready and everything. When we walked in, we were told there were artists available, which was great for a Saturday afternoon. However, we immediately felt rushed (there was no one else waiting for tattoos). Immediately the conversations were short and we felt as if the artists were irritated that we were even there to begin with. They printed out our design and we were positioning them for only 5 minutes in the mirror while they stared at us like we were taking too long. I don’t know about anyone else but I could research about a tattoo that I want for months and you never know how you’re going to feel about it until you actually see the stencil on your body. So of course, we were taking some time to see where we wanted/liked the tattoo. Once we figured it out, I was taken back by Nic and got started on mine. He was not very friendly or welcoming but I ignored it because sometimes not everyone is having a very good day. He proceeded to ask if I was from here. Which in my opinion is a very loaded question. I was not born here but grew up and am currently going to school in another state. So, I started to elaborate on that but was interrupted and told “you could just say yes”. With a very rude tone, might I add. I tried to brush it off. I asked him “where are you from?” and he had said he was from out of town. I nodded and honestly didn’t want to continue the conversation. But he then decided to let me know that he thinks the town of Parker is, excuse my language, but a shit hole. Which is wild because its located in one of the wealthiest counties in the country. Not to mention, filled with amazing people & communities. After he finished the tattoo I didn’t even get a second to go and look at it in the mirror before he started saran wrapping it. Work was decent but their personalities and demeanor needs some work. Cookies work was great and she was more talkative but still got irriated with simple requests and we didn’t feel very welcomed by her either. I had also asked Cookie if I could have some second skin (the protective layer you put on after a tattoo) because I wasn’t given any by Nic. She said “why? you don’t know how to take care of your tattoo with saran wrap?” to which i replied “no I do, i just prefer second skin”. Which I don’t believe is an out of pocket ask since it is usually what tattoo artists give their clients. I even offered to venmo her additionally for the second skin since I know most artists will buy their own tools and everything and since she technically didn’t do my tattoo, i wanted to offer to pay for it. eventually she said she could give me some after strong hesitation and was very short even after I thanked her multiple times for letting me have some (even though i am a paying costumer and asked politely for something small that I prefer. Not to mention, I am already paying $150 for three small words). I’ve come here several times and seen other artist and had no issues prior. The shop was clean which was good but the experience was still ruined by the rude artists. It makes me sad that this experience has ruined this shop for me. Unfortunately we will not be returning and will not be recommending to...
Read moreMy husband and I have had all of our tattoos and piercings (since we've lived here) at Bonaroo Tattoo. We are faithful patrons who have a great gratitude for the artistry involved, and we tip our artists accordingly (50% or more...ALWAYS), especially when they have always accommodated our disabilities. Awhile ago, we called Bonaroo and asked about the new location, the piercer on staff, and other details. Our daughter wanted her ears re-pierced, so we scheduled our appointment online after getting the pertinent details from the staff. We had explained that our daughter has a disability and needed some flexibility and accommodation, which we would happily pay for. Unfortunately, due to Covid, we had to reschedule our appointment for 2:00 today. We called to tell them that we were running a few minutes late, and the piercer told us that she has a five-minute cut-off window and if we arrive late, we still have to pay and forfeit our appointment. If we need to reschedule, we still have to pay. Surely, given our conversation with staff about the need for some accommodation and our history with them, this wouldn't be enforced since we requested extra time (which we planned to pay for) due to our daughter's disability. Maybe the piercer hadn't read the details of the appointment. We arrived at 2:08. We were turned away because we were three minutes passed the cut-off time. Even though we called an hour before, and the piercer knew we were running late, we were turned away. In fact, she said that she only allowed 45 minutes for the appointment and that she was fully booked for the day. (No disability accommodations had been accounted for!!) Basically, I was told that policy trumps everything, including any disability accommodation. We paid our $60, walked out with a very sad little girl who was denied the services we scheduled and agreed to pay for. Years of giving our business solely to Bonaroo only served for them to discriminate against us. We are incredibly loyal customers, but to turn away a child with a disability when accommodations were requested and supposed to be scheduled? Inexcusable. Please reconsider the businesses you support who practice hateful, intolerant, and...
Read moreOther customers beware they are draconian in their late policy, and there’s no wiggle room! As a result I will never do business with them again the full story is below. My daughter had previously had her ears pierced by Bonaroo Tattoo on Mississippi. She had a great experience but didn’t keep the jewelry in her ears and the holes had closed. We would have gone back but they don’t have a person at the Mississippi location to do piercing so we decided to try the Parker location. I had scheduled a time to have her ears redone, and as it turned out she ended up with Covid and I had to reschedule. The rescheduling went fine and I went with a day I thought we could get it done without a problem. Today was the day we were supposed to have them done, but we ended up farther away from the store than we had planned. When I realized the situation, I called and let them know I might be a bit late, they told me that after 5 minutes an appointment is considered a no show. I could have cancelled, but according to maps I should have made it in time so I attempted to get there in time. When things were said and done, I was 3 minutes late beyond the 5 minutes to our appointment, Nails refused to do the piercing, considered our appointment to be a no show, which charges the same fee that the piercing would be. I can understand that there are no shows, and that people take up time being wishy washy, but I was there, and I had called, no effort at customer service at all. Since you have to register your payment to make the appointment, I had no choice but to pay the fee, mind you I understand how these policies can be and would have paid regardless because I did know that’s how it was. HOWEVER Nails had no interest in working with us, therefore all we could do is leave and find someone else to do...
