If I would have given this review about 3 weeks ago I would have given it a five star. But today I was bragging about how good Jimmy John's Subs are and took two of my friends with me. I was never so embarrassed and disappointed in the quality and the service of Jimmy John's. There Subs used to be the very best. I have taken two other people there, in January to get subs and they were great. Today the Buns have shrunk too hot dog size buns and were very tough. I can hardly bite through the bread and when you bit into it the inside would squish out the end because the buns were only about an inch and a half wide. Stood in line for about 10 minutes to get waited on then stood in line for about 10 or 15 more minutes to get our food and didn't even know which Subs were ours because we didn't get a receipt or a number. And then the subs were terrible please go back to the Buns that you had before. Those buns were fantastic. I don't know why you would shrink the Buns to hot dog size and make them tough. I saw that they were making their own buns, I don't know if that was the norm before or not but something definitely went wrong. I don't know if you actually changed the way you make your buns or who you buy them from or you were downsizing the Buns to cut costs. whatever I will not go back I will call first to see if you still have the regular buns that you used to have if not I will never return there. Read moreThey had a 50%-off small sub (today only) deal, so a friend of mine & I went for lunch. As was expected, they were busy. We placed our orders, but the totals came up full price. I explained that we wanted the small, 50%-off subs. She said, we had to order online to get that deal. So, we cancelled our orders & ordered online. No 50%-off!? I approached the counter & spoke to the girl again, explaining the 50% was still not being deducted. That is when a guy walked up & said, "You have to call this number (pointing to a poster up above the cash register) & register for the rewards program, then check your email to confirm. Once you've done that, you go to the app & place your order." I said, "We weren't told we had to order through the app... just that we had to place the order online." He says, "She doesn't know what she's talking about." She heard the end of his statement & replied, "You do not have to go through the app- just order it online." She walked off & I told the guy, "We won't be eating here then. Thank you." No vital assistance or resolution was offered. We left. UPDATE Today, I was contacted by someone I assume is associated with the restaurant (manager, owner???). Read moreThe subs are great! Their motto doesn’t lie “Subs so fast you’ll freak!”, we got three subs and they were all done before we even got ice in our drinks, it is unbelievable. Their delivery is “freaky fast” as well, at our doorstep in 10-15 minutes. The subs are tasty, the chips are crunchy, and their Coke is awesome with the crushed ice like Chick Fil A. Combo was $8.99 for the regular and it was filling and very good, perfect if you work around the area. You’ll be in and out in a few minutes or less! They need to get a new location in Vienna, we’ve been to a stand-alone and they need one of those with the drive-thru. 10/10 experience, coming here very often.
