Lumpy's Shake Shop — Restaurant in Parma Heights

Lumpy's is ok. They suffer from too few choices and from the surrounding competition being too great. 5 minutes east I have two, TWO locations of honey hut with too many choices. And about 10-15 minutes south I have Handel's. That's not counting Bryson's on ridge AND east coast frozen custard on pearl, which is just up the road from lumpy's. We've been there twice and I wanted to like them as an ice cream lover. It's just difficult to. I've easily had way better, from places where you'd think a smaller selection would mean better focus on the menu, and that's furthest from the truth. Honey hut and Handel's have endless flavors and everything tastes amazing. I just can't tell someone to go to lumpy's over other places, unless you don't...

Went here finally, to get something different than just east coast. Got a milkshake, figured it was a safe bet since it's Lumpys Shake Shop. Unfortunately my cookie dough milkshake was very heavy on the milk. It was more like tasting cookie dough flavored milk. I will give it another try down the line but I feel consistency is an important part of a business, especially when it's food and especially when it's supposed to be what you're good at since it's in your name. Tonight's experience was not a good one. Overall we have enjoyed Lumpy's, but tonight was not good. I ordered a moose tracks sundae with caramel and whip cream. I got chocolate soft serve with no caramel and lots of whip cream. No biggie, except it was almost totally melted before we got home, and the lid wasnt secured, so what I really ended up with was a paper bag filled with melted ice cream instead of a sundae.
