As of 6/22/21 they ARE open. Complying with all COVID-19 regulations. No more plates, they've been replaced with styrofoam plates (grab a few to make sturdy, they're pretty flimsy), silverware has been replaced with plastic ware (if you need a knife be sure to request). A employee stands by the buffet at all times, as with these plates, accidents happen (my plate bellowed and rice spilled into the chicken, she immediately cleaned it up).
Service is still fantastic. Portions are lessened. But, they do replace with fresh pretty quickly. Sadly though, seems like the heating mechanisms are not doing their job too well, as things are just not hot. Warm to say the least. Desserts were still frozen, so if you get there when they open, be aware of this. It's not bad, but I warn ya. Still have a good selection. Service is still great. Still a great place to go. I will recommend! Just know of the changes.
And, all employees wear their masks. Customers are not required (but that's everyone's own preference if they choose to or not). I hope this review helps! 100% they are following the COVID-19 regulations!!! And, I cannot be more expressive of my gratitude with this!
Oh, they're always VERY clean..including the restrooms. And this is a Chinese buffet, but they have a wide array of food. Not everything is Chinese. VERY kid friendly selection as well. Ice cream station can be a hit or miss at times. Soup station, hibachi and sushi stations.
There may be a smidge of a language barrier with some employees, don't let that upset you..there's plenty there that speak great English. Usually the one behind counter when you come in is a good one.
They do have a bigger room for parties or meetings and such, you'd need to request ahead of time (I cannot quote what their COVID-19 restrictions are with this, so call ahead to confirm).
Wide walking areas. Wheelchair accessible entrance and dining. Refillable drinks. Cups are still standard plastic cups with clean straws. Music is absolutely dreadful and annoying. But, that's nothing to not go there for. Lol.
Don't hesitate to stop in there! Everyone will have their opinions! Don't judge a book by its cover. Go experience this place for yourself. I've been coming here for years. And, cannot say anything bad about it. Prices are really fair and reasonable. Adults-$9.99 Seniors-$8.99 And, all you can eat. They also offer take out and...
Read moreUPDATE: Originally I rated Fuji as a four-star. I am however lowering this rating to a one star.
Of the last 12 times we have visited Fuji as a family the Kalbi Beef has been non-existent. I have asked for travel times. To be told that it is in the process of being made and still not as ever brought out from the kitchen. All that ever happens to be here under this label of kalbi beef is just a tub of white onion. Therefore I suggest that this dish be renamed two the emperor's new kalbi beef. Now that it has been renamed you should be able to see it in the picture. Right next to the Emperor's New Clothes. See it now?
Also I have noticed that the quality of food on the buffet is going down as well. The ribs used to be really tender and flavorful as well as the roast that they put out. As of the past few times you've gone the ribs have been dry and chewy and the rose has had a nice crust on it and has been dry as well.
I've noticed that the tuna sushi has become quite thin as well. So thin that some pieces would make beautiful stained glass. Unfortunately this is tuna and not glass.
The cap to the evening at Fuji was having a waitress and one of the other women that work there sit down at a table across from us to wrap silverware. I had the privilege of watching them touch each and every piece of silverware with their bare hands and they touched the end of the fork and the spoon that you put in your mouth with their bare hands. I also witnessed that they were running around the dining room cleaning dirty plates off tables and then spring tables down with cleaner and wiping them off. Never once that they put on a pair of gloves before touching the silverware or wash their hands.
I do believe tonight was our last night I'm...
