Sometimes you miss out the great restaurant which is located right in your backyard/neighborhood and you go for big names. Oh god, glad I did try this. Right now due to the corona scene, we don’t go out, only time is when we go for evening 3-4 miles strolling. We saw this restaurant ( not the first time, but we used to not pay attention) and saw their menu. It looked promising. Of course, there was no Dine-in, we chose for takeout and opted for their ‘ 20 for 2 people’ (includes Fries- fried rice- chicken rotisserie and baby back ribs.)
Trust me you will forget these chains restaurants ribs after eating Churrasco’s ribs. Marinate of chicken and ribs-spices they use, it’s totally amazing. Never had ribs like this before. The quantity was more than enough. Ribs ( 6 Pc) were sumptuous, to die for. Chicken rotisserie, it’s nothing like of blunt Costco’s one. It was great too and so was its rice. The great meal overall. Totally loved it. Love..!!
Update (On 7-Feb-23)
This is one of the hidden gems in my neighborhood and one of those restaurants in your block, which you pass every day, wanted to try but never tried. Glad we did today (and what a special occasion it was)
It’s a small family-run Peruvian restaurant, with a limited menu and they also have “specials”.
We ordered –
Fish Milanesa: breaded Tilapia with salad: it was good. 3.5/5
Baby Back Ribs – Their seasoning, it’s amazing- 4.5/5
Salmon: it was a little bit disappointing - After the first bite, you can get the feeling that the fish was not that fresh, otherwise preparation was good. – 3.5/5
Shrimp Iza: shrimp sauteed in Garlic/spinach- it was good (but less in quantity), only concern shrimp were not deveined (Ideally they should be) – 4/5
Ok, all the dishes- Salt was on the higher side, I understand sodium & salt makes you eat more, but each item-it was salty, except that the food was good.
Ambiance-wise, yeah it’s a good, small cute restaurant, Peruvian paintings hanging on the wall. Service: it was Wednesday night so only 2 tables were occupied, so yeah no issues in waiting or service. Uncle was helpful with my questions.
I guess we expected more (taste-wise), but it was a good experience....
Read moreWe got the Mixed Grill for two take out special and it was fantastic! When you walk in the restaurant you're greeted by the smell of meat cooking over an open flame, it's devine. The music and artwork on the walls add to the casual Argentinean vibe. Our order was ready as I arrived and correct. On to the food... Delicious doesn't do it justice! The mixed grill came with steak, chicken, pork chops, and chorizo; plus home made steak fries and a refreshing tomato and onion salad. It also included two cookies (alfajores). There was enough meat for a family of four and it was all grilled to perfection. The steak was tender and the chicken was moist. The homemade steak fries were crispy on the outside and soft golden potato on the inside. We will...
Read moreI've been here several times before and usually wait to write a review to make sure my experiences are consistent. I'm happy to say Churrasco Grill in Lake Hiawatha never disappoints. On our last visit, we had Shrimp Iza, sautéed shrimp with garlic and baby spinach served with yuca for an appetizer, as well as the cerviche. Both were excellent and flavors were well balanced. For my entree I had halibut with broccoli and potatoes, all cooked and seasoned to perfection. Our other entree was skirt steak, equally perfect. Although we were full by that point, the pumpkin cheesecake sounded too good to refuse. It was amazing. Don't miss out on this hidden gem of a restaurant. You'll be...
