Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Pasadena

This was my first visit to Applebee's, and I was really excited to finally get to eat there. I'm so disappointed to have to write this review, but I need to share what happened. Our server's name is Amie R, tb#12. Amie never smiled during her whole interaction with us. I asked for extra napkins, and she walked off. She brought out our drinks and didn't bring the napkins. She walked off. Once we made our order, she never asked if we wanted refills but reminded us that the changes to our order meant there would be upcharges. We already knew that, still no napkins, and the drinks made the ones we had wet. Amie brought out our appetizer, still no napkins. We stacked our empty saucers at the end of the table, and when she brought my soup, she did not remove them. I had to return the chicken tortilla soup because it tasted like garlic, bad garlic, so I changed my order to cheesy broccoli. Still no napkins. And the cheese was not melted on the broccoli. We were never asked if everything was OK. We we were only able to ask for something only when she had to bring a dish to the table. Next, close to end of the meal, she finally placed two napkins on the table. We were left with only water to drink, and I wanted to order additional drinks for me and my daughter, but our waitress was nowhere to be found. I even had to hold my hand up to get someone's attention in order to get our check. And I mean, I had to wave it around to get someone to notice. Other workers just looked at me and went into the kitchen. Three people were standing at the kitchen door and just kept on talking and went into the kitchen and ignored my waving hand. After holding my arm up for some time, someone finally said they need help. Where is Amie? It still took her a few minutes to come out of the back kitchen and come to the table. Only then, when she gave us the check did she remove all the dishes that had piled up on the table. And she still didn't ask us if she could do anything for us or say "how was your meal?" Once again, she never smiled. I have seen Applebee's commercials on TV and have always wanted to go. After yesterday's service, I will never go back. And I still gave her a tip. But she did...

Usually we visit the Applebees in the Fountains but we decided since we were going to Kemah Tx for Boo on the Boardwalk this location would be more convenient....The biggest mistake ever!!!!. The place was not crowed, we noticed plenty of empty tables as we were parking...but as we entered there was ppl standing around waiting to be seated. There was no greeter at the front but I thought maybe she was seating someone. While stananding there for a good 10 min still with no-one acknowledging people at the door.I noticed that yes it was alot of empty seating but all the tables were dirty were they had not been cleared yet from the previous guest. I counted for sure 6 in plain site. I was also disgusted by all the debris on the floor (food particles,napkins, straw paper, just nasty looking carpet)...Finally a waitress came and asked how many in our party...we stated 6 she then said she'd be back and left for another 5-10 mins...a few of us wanted to leave but since we had waited so long already and the ASTROS were playing we decided to stay guessing that other places would be crowed with an even longer wait....well as the waitress was finally ready to seat us as we were walking pass all these tables that still wasn't cleared my sister pointed out a roach eating on one of the plates...OMG I was completely DISGUSTED. Before we could set down I pointed the roach out to the rest of my group, we alerted the waitress that it was no need to go any further because we would not be dining there. She said ohhh ok with a sarcastic little gesture and lead us back to the front...as we were walking back I actually pointed the roach out to a couple that had already ordered but hadn't recieved their food yet and they also got up and left....DONT EAT HERE...IF ROACHES ARE IN THE LOBBY I CAN JUST IMAGINE HOW THE KITCHEN WERE ALL THE FOOD IS KEPT LOOKS...#WE NEED MARVIN...

Well it was a lot of things that happened that day at that restaurant so first when we ordered our drinks are waiter not trying to expose any name but our waiter she or he I don't know what gender that person was cuz it definitely looks like a drag queen to me, but anyway "it"put the drinks and kind of balancing on the edge of a booth like she was trying to balance and it didn't make any sense because there was a lot of room on the table and she chose to put it on a booth it didn't make any sense to me and so it was like a see-saw so like the drinks fell because it was too much weight on one side and plus she was balancing the drinks so they fell all over her and stuff and she didn't even say sorry to my grandma would she got the the water on her dress then she went to the back to clean herself and she didn't even apologize to my grandma she had to tell the person that was cleaning up the mess which wasn't the person who spilled good drinks to tell the person that went to the back to say sorry so when she comes back she's like oh I'm so sorry, to me it didn't even sound sincere it was like she was told to say sorry so also when we got our food my plate had grilled paper in it I ordered a bacon burger and there was no bacon I literally have no bacon and paper stuck in it so I told her to send it back and she said we're making a new one and then the waiter I don't know what her name is but she looked at my mom I was watching her you know I stare people down I was watching her and she looked at my mom some type of way and it didn't look really nice at all feel like we didn't have a good experience that day when I got my burger back again it was so good but like when you order you want to get your food to be on point the first time not the second time and so yeah that was...
