Aquabite Cajun Seafood — Restaurant in Pasadena

We decided to try out this place after we saw a review for them on Facebook. Our first server, Eva, was nice at the beginning and very sweet. However, she was not very attentive. We received our waters, calamari and my mom received her cocktail extremely fast. The problem with this is we asked for 2 different cocktails. We asked what was in one of them and she said she wasn’t sure so we said nevermind we’ll take it. After we received the first cocktail along with the appetizer, we then received the buffet boil. The problem with this though, we didn’t have any buckets, gloves or setups. After about 5 minutes another server named Katya came to our table and asked if we were ok. We told her we hadn’t received the second cocktail and would also like a bucket and setups. She got that to us incredibly fast. Afterwards our first server, Eva, came back and seemed sort of out of sorts that we got help from somebody else. We told her we had been waiting on the drink we ordered with her and she was like, “You just wanted to know what was in it.” And we said no nevermind we did want it. She then rolled her eyes and walked away. And then transferred her table aka us, to Katya. KATYA on the other hand is in incredible server! Super fast and attentive and polite and...

We decided to try this place after surfing crab closed (we weren't impressed with them). We weren't impressed here either. We came for lunch, there were 2 other tables with only 2 people at them. No prices for individual items on the menu, music was loud and obnoxious, my husband ordered a pound of shrimp and I got the shrimp po-boy with fried calamari as the appetizer.

Our waitress seemed clueless but okay, maybe she's new to this so that's okay. What wasn't okay was how my husband got his shrimp fast and 40 minutes later, after I said something when another waitress finally decided to check on us, and after my husband ordered and received a second pound of shrimp, I finally got my po-boy. Which we were told took so long because they were toasting the bread yet my bread was room temp and not toasted. Then we finally got the calamari and ended up asking for the check and a box. The flavor was okay but not worth the money nor the wait or the lack of care...

Honest opinion, its not worth the price, food is fresh true but the all you can eat has not many selections for seafood boil. Fried food is very salty not very good. The seasoning is good and spicy but not worth a second visit. Service was great cannot deny they are very attentive and kind love that part. The atmosphere was stiff and bland at least put some music. The bartender looke bored. I recommend more seafood selections. Less salt in fried food! Keep the great bass service but offer speacial drinks to keep the bartender busy. Make the price worth what your...
