Update: Kids are still great here BUT they have this new thing where they have to YELL "Welcome" to each guest walking in. I get the idea but it kills the dining in experience. A failed idea. Who wants to be conversating with their dining buddies and here welcome every few seconds. The way they were doing it before was perfect. When guest approached the counter the workers greeted the guests quietly and gave personal attention. Don't try so hard and fix things that do not need fixing. One other bother was the person they claimed to be the manager was on the floor touching his dirty phone and was working the line. If the health inspectors come in huge violation: And if this is the manager he should not be to talking the way he does to the staff especially on the floor where is paying customers can hear. Manager seems to need leadership training? He was flirting with this single mom who came in with her child it was uncomfortable. And not professional.
This is my favorite blaze. It is always clean and the staff are always friendly. Conner served us tonight and he was so friendly and helpful. And he is a great sales person he tried to offer other items. I would have agreed but this was just a snack. Angie even came over to say hello. And Max cooked our pizza just right! Max even walked over our food to us! Great customer service if you ask me! Love their creative hats! Kudos to Blaze for letting these kids express themselves with their hats! Great touch! These kids deserve a raise! Great job kids!

Read moreI've never been to one of these although they have popped up everywhere. Kind of craft pizza place where baking individual sized thin crust pies meets Chipotle like ordering lines. Ordering was a bit slow going and as a first-timer I may have been part of the issue. You can choose from some suggested pizza topping combinations or make your own. There are also some side salads and bread sticks available. We order a Red Vine, which seemed like a Margherita with cherry tomatoes and we also got a Green Stripe which is sauceless pie with mozzarella and chicken that is baked and the finished with pesto and arugula. Took about 10 min to get food after ordering. There were several palces to sit in a modernesque setting. Once we got the food we noticed that the crusts were actually very very good. Thin with a great combination of crisp and chew. The red sauce was largely flavorless though and the chicken on the pesto pizza was pretty dry but flavorful nevertheless. We will come back if we are in the area to try some different combinations, but we won't likely go out of our way to come here. My kid liked his food. We each were full after our meals. Last thing, at this particular store in Pasadena, parking could be...
Read moreThese are becoming a dime-a-dozen now. It's Subway for pizza. That analogy doesn't have a positive connotation just in case you were wondering.
You go in, everyone is nice enough in their very rehearsed questions and responses, but it also doesn't feel like you even have time to THINK about what you might even want to eat. The sauce is pretty lackluster and toppings aren't any better, tastes just like Hormel used to make. You know what else Hormel makes? Spam. Again, not a positive analogy. Sorry Hawaiian people.
The way they cook it does not work for me. What I ended up with is a soggy mess instead of a well formed cohesive concoction. Drowning it in parmesan didn't really help either. Now, I understand, and condone, them running this place as it obviously does a lot of business. Heck, I'm considering buying a franchise, seems to be making money hand over fist! But for my dollar, I mean, I've had better Papa Johns, so...I'm going to save my pizza money for...
