UPDATE:
I want to thank Anthony Rodriguez and Charles Mayrsohn for correcting this situation. They contacted me the next day and got everything straightened out. I have eliminated the sales persons name as I understand people make mistakes.
Thank you for doing the right thing and fixing the situation.
This is a review to hopefully help everyone else from getting scammed. The sales person tried to trick us and sell us a Robbins Brothers wedding band while playing it off as if it was Tacori.
I will explain further.
My wife and I went into Robbins Brothers in Glendale on 2/17/2020 to get her annual cleaning.
While we were there having her ring cleaned, we decided to look at Tacori wedding bands to match her ring. The sales person took us to the Tacori section and began showing us the different examples.
My wife tried one on that she really liked. It matched her wedding ring perfectly. Sales person says "You're not going to believe it", "This one is half the price of all he others, for Tacori that is a great deal". So of course we said, we will take.
He takes the ring to the jeweler and comes back to write up the paperwork.
Again he says, "You are getting a great deal for Tacori, it's good you are purchasing it today, if we we ever wanted to restock that item it would be at market value." He then asks us to come back the next day to pick up the correctly sized wedding band.
Upon arrival the following day, he comes out with the wedding band and immediately puts it on my wife's finger. As anyone would be, she was extremely excited and happy that for our two year wedding anniversary we finally purchased her wedding band.
This entire time I had a very weird feeling, mind you, up to this point I had not physically touched the ring. I also found it very weird that he gave us a simple Robbins Brothers box instead of a Tacori box.
When my wife and I got into our car something felt off. I told her to take off her ring and sure enough, it was a Robbins Brothers branded ring instead of Tacori.
As you can imagine, we were extremely upset. We immediately went back inside and asked him why this was not a Tacori wedding band. The salesman said "I'll be back" and took all of our paperwork and ring into the room in the center.
We waited for about 10 minutes before came back and asked us to go to his "office".
He then proceeded to tell us that he was sorry. The ring that we purchased a whole day before, was not actually Tacori. That it must have been placed in the wrong section of the store.
How is something like this possible? Doesn't it show the product name at the point of ringing it up? Or at the point of logging it into the system?
The fact that he tried to scam us and force a sale down our throats is completely disgusting. He did not even have the decency to tell us after he swipes our credit card to correct his mistake.
Additionally, he also had the opportunity to tell us prior to picking the ring up and wasting even more time driving down to the store for the second time.
This is a complete lack of respect. We went to a business we thought we could trust. That was not the case, we were tricked and told we were buying a Tacori ring and it was something completely different.
I asked to speak to the manager Charles Mayrsohn, he was shocked that something like this could happen from so called professionals.
He refunded us our money and said he would discuss this with the Vice President.
As you can imaging this was crushing for my wife. The look on her face when this all happened is something I will never forget. The fact that Robbins Brothers as a company would cause so much pain and anguish to a paying customer is disgusting.
I will never shop here again. Nor will I take my wife's Tacori engagement ring here for cleaning again. Id rather pay someone else to clean it. Forget that stupid warranty they sell you. I'm sure most of...
Read moreI canât speak highly enough about Angelina Davis. After several years of trying to receive our custom designer rings we ended up working with Angelina. It is not easy to come into an ongoing customer issue that had been transpiring for years! As the snubbed customer, I felt receiving my rings in the desired manner/ordered condition was a lost cause after spending thousands upon thousands of dollars, insurmountable hours and effort, and diligently trying to correct manufacturing errors from a well known and highly respected brand. Had I known customizations would have transpired into the saga that it did I would have never ventured down this road. However, here we are adamantly hoping for a resolution; enter Angelina!
She genuinely connects with each client. After feeling brushed off by so many having an authentic connection truly spoke volumes about her character. She was invested in our situation, tirelessly worked towards achieving a resolution, and fearlessly upheld Robbins Brothers high standards and commitment to quality. She ensured doing the right thing for the customer was her main focus while adhering to Robbins Brothers unparalleled practices and policies.    Read moreWatch out for Antonio. I scheduled an appointment to look at engagement rings with my girlfriend. I was very clear that our goals were to see singular solitaire settings from 1 to 1.5 so that we could determine what size was best for her finger and to look at the differences in quality between diamond grades in person. Upon arrival, we were brought into the salesmen Antonio 's cluttered office away from the counters and given a sales pitch that literally started with " I do not mean to toot my own horn but I'm the best salesman at this location". He went on for about 10 minutes pitching his "expertise" in selecting diamonds and why Robbins Brothers is the "best". He then proceeded to show us 3 different solitaire settings with 2ct diamonds which were much larger than what we were looking for. We explained again we that were here to see stones 1 to 1.5ct . The salesman proceeded to ask a few more questions one of which was have we shopped around anywhere else? I brought up our local jewelry store and a few online retailers such as James Allen. Antonio was immediately triggered by the mention of an online retailer and left the office to get something. At this point, we almost walked out. The salesman returned after a few minutes and continued into another pitch where proceeded to show us 2 diamonds of the same color and clarity but one had many inclusions while the other was cloudy. This somehow tied into how he is able to select the best stone for us even though there was a clear difference between the diamonds to the naked eye. After this, he finally showed us a few diamonds in our size range. It was clear he was pushing us towards the 1.5ct even though my girlfriend was happy with how the 1ct looked on her finger. The envelopes he was pulling the diamonds out of clearly showed the prices which my girlfriend did not need to see. I really did not want to write this review, but my girlfriend and I were so bothered by the overall experience. We spent maybe 10-15 minutes looking at rings and the rest of the hour on a sales pitch. It felt like we were shopping for a used car instead of an...
