Live around the corner and waited all summer for them to open- Presently feel ZERO disappointment. Owner, staff, service, and of course, food and drinks were all worth the wait.
We started off w coffee here during their soft opening- My bf and I are black coffee drinkers. I got it iced, he had it hot. GREAT coffee. HUNGRY? GOOD, you’re at the right place- Get the Cordova Burger- you wont regret it and might even ask for a second burg. I always thought that I made the best burgers and even my boyfriend agreed (not bc I had my heels to his balls either- It’s the God’s honest TRUTH). Now I have to admit that Cordova’s burger may have beaten mine to an embarassing pulp in the schoolyard, after hours with all the kids watching. The bun is the perfect partner to a perfect meaty pattyslathered in aioli sauce. The Queen was amazing too and probably the closest, so far, to a true East Coast Italian sandwich that you would’ve ordered from your local deli or bodega back home. The antipasto salad- I kid you not, I closed my eyes and told my bf that it tastes like New Jersey.
This is EXACTLY the type of joint this side of Pasadena needed. Forget the places on Colorado or at the Paseo, or even Green. This place is legit and already has a neighborhood feel to it. Sit down, hang out, spend your money at a place that deserves it, and get to know your neighbors. Already met some awesome people here- Pair that w good food and drink and it doesn’t get better. Cheers,...
Read moreCool little spot for a quick bite. The staff is alright, but could use some slight fine tuning when it comes to customer service. Nicest and most thankful person there was the cook who made my burrito. The portions are better for "dine in". However, there is no table service, so be prepared to go inside and get your food.
What I find awkward is that they can give you the drinks through a window that leads to their little patio but for the food they insist on you coming inside. Very awkward, slightly annoying, and were borderline rude when calling from the window to come inside.
I wasn't immediately able to go the first time they called my name, so the second time they made sure to tell me that my food was going to get cold. Either serve the food to us at the table, or keep your extra comments to yourself. This is a professional establishment.
Four stars, for the quality of food, and super friendly cook in the back. If you can, walk here because parking is annoying, it's not free, you have to park in the building, go through the lobby, and walk around the exterior of the building to get to their door on...
Read moreAmazing, yummy food! Went here on Christmas morning because I was so so done with cooking at home. Great location very convenient to hotels (and way better than room service) and close to the convention center. We ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage, breakfast sandwich, and lox bagel, latte, and mocha latte. The breakfast sandwich came out first and was the BOMB! I made my husband give me half. Haha. Breakfast burrito then came out and I adjusted my expectations because there was no way both could be so good. But JFC the salsa...that burrito with the salsa. Perfect match so we had to split this dish too. My son had the lox bagel and the proportions of the bagel and cream cheese and lox and toppings was perfect. The cool taste of the lox was a perfect complement to the other dishes which I had sausage in.
That was just breakfast. The lunch menu looked great so I have to go back for lunch.
Mando, the owner, said they also do wine tastings and cheese platters. Definitely coming back with some friends for girls night out.
Highly recommend this...
