Went there tonight for a black event.well I would say a majority black event. I have a few things that I would say is awkward about this place... Usually when you order food at table service you pay after your food right? Nope this place made you leave a card open which I didn't trust so I paid cash and when you order or pay in full cash before you even get your food and then didn't give my 6 cents change, imagine how many don't get they change back that adds up even if it's only 6 cents but you want folks to pay 1st but you skim them on they change. Then my fries came over 39 minutes later but you got my money 39 minutes ago...... But the main thing is how does a restaurant not give glass water. Tap water it's free right but you say no only bottle water which is 3 a bottle mind you. Never have I ever been to a restaurant where you couldn't get free tap water especially if you paying over 20 for the full bill crazy right.. the coconut shrimp was good my feta fries when theybdid come out hardky had feta on them adtee waiting super long to get them when the rest of my order had already came out. I don't know who messed over this owner to the point you have to pay for your food before you get it and you can't even give out free tap water with it but that's crazy . I want to say it's because it's a black crowd mainly but a lot of decore on the walls was black very deceiving...... I definitely won't...
Read morePlease don't ever do a brunch here again. Terrible experience. Like dirty dishes and undercooked food bad.
Our reservation for mother's day brunch was at 11am. we arrived 5 minutes early and we're promptly seated. Place was empty, no one was eating we were worried. We waited over twenty minutes before the food was ready, and it was NOT worth the wait. Scrambled eggs were unsafe to eat, with a pool of standing raw liquid at the bottom of the dish. Chaffing pans with two sections had only one candle each resulting in all the food being cold. Mimosas were served with a painfully sweet sparkling wine, no butter for the stale white bread m, no syrup for the raw French toast. Really, how hard is it to cook eggs!?
Basically a free hotel breakfast with penne pasta, like the type of penne pasta you'd find at the mall. Listen the food wasn't terrible, while cold, some of it was good. Teeth still hurt from trying to chew the bacon, coffee cup had lipstick on it, man the list goes on and on...
the service was meh, not that bad, definitely not good. It just seams like the mixx should NOT be offering a brunch because they clearly have no idea what they are doing. 3 big televisions playing soccer. Really. Soccer on mother's day? charging $50/ when you can't properly and safely serve a buffet, is a cash grab and deserves a slap...
Read moreCould not believe the reviews I have seen. As a huge Rocky Horror Picture Show fan for ages, I took my wife and two friends yesterday to their Burlesque matinee screening show - which was basically a YouTube screening (can't believe that's not a brutal copyright violation). Picture quality and especially the sound were poor as was the rest:
Doors were advertised to open at five, show starts at 6 pm. So I thought it would be neat to come early and enjoy an early dinner before the show. Pre-booked VIP at a premium with a table. I thought we would be sat at a neat table as the website suggests with china and glasses. VIP in their term means a cheap plastic foldable chair in front of the screening area, in our case row 5.
Doors actually opened at 5:45, which made us stand in the heat with nothing to drink for 45 mins. Our table - not existent. In the end, I was not too unhappy as two of the four dishes ordered never showed up - of the four beers ordered, we received three - all way into the screening.
As "a courtesy", I received one more foldable chair which did not even provide space for the drinks and food we actually received - and made it impossible for me to move and enjoy the screening.
Sorry, I do not think I will ever go again. I go even further: the worst $200 I have spent as long as I...
