Dots Cafe — Restaurant in Sierra Madre

I come here off duty from San Bernardino public health and I come here often practically every morning and had some feed back of my own that I believe is so crucial and upsetting! I hear nothing , but drama constantly every morning I believe it’s some really skinny girl with a big nose I think her name was Jimena or something with an X I believe her and some short girl always & she didn’t give me her name when I asked for it and she made a huge argument over it I really think she’s unprofessional, but my husband comes here every afternoon because we just love the cupcakes not service and he even comes home to orders messed up I get regulars instead of minis and my husband is a professor and has to provide for his students such false advertisement I’ve never been so angry that I finally decided to stop spending a dime here and recommended others just go somewhere else to get cupcakes ! Lastly every body should be positive working together as a Team and theirs completely none the girls are segregated.. and as for the store owner I hope you learn how to do your job right and a business treat your employees fairly I believe that’s the main reason why all this is spiraling down hill . Don’t COME HERE TERRIBLE SERVICE IN THE MORNINGS . DONT DO PHONE ORDERS HERE ITS COMPLETELY POINTLESS THEY WILL SCREW UP SO IF YOUR HOSTING EVENTS DONT RELY ON IT Ect. Ect . LEAVE REVIEWS AND POSTS AND YELP THEY DELETE NEGATIVE REVIEWS TO MAKE THEMSELVES LOOK BETTER. And they wonder why nobody wants...

I get this place is new but they definitely do not have any idea how to handle high volume. I showed up just to pick up a order. It literally took half an hour or more to get an order that I placed a few days ago and they had their customer scattered around the shop because there was no line to wait in, it was a huge mess. At the time they had 4 people attending to customers and yet couldn't speed up the process?!?! It was a day before Valentine's day and there were trying to make it look all fancy with tying red ribbons on the boxes, the lady would only tell us "we apologize for the wait" but I think it was way too ridiculous just to wait that long for just pick up, once it was my turn they show me my box and give it to me and she tells me once again "I apologize and the reason for being a long wait is because it takes time to do the ribbons for each customer." At this point I honestly didn't care for the sob story I just wanted my order. But as I mentioned they were tying ribbons on each order and yet mine wasn't?!? I'm sure she saw my face and I was pretty aggravated, but I didn't give them any grievances while I was there I just wanted my order. Dots offers a Sunday brunch for 4 people which was perfect for when my friends wanted to celebrate my birthday since there would be four of us! My friend CC ordered online by emailing them. They post their weekly menu on their website and also on social media.

We got the following: -- Croque Monsieur with Ham, Gruyere Cheese, Dijon Mustard, and Bechemel Sauce: This was really good! Very cheesy and delicious. -- Asparagus Wrapped in Bacon: I hate asparagus so I cannot speak as to how this was. They don't allow substitutions so we weren't able to ask for something else. Two of my friends ate it and thought it was fine. I think they liked that it was wrapped in bacon? -- Coffee Cake: Moist and crumbly and delicious! -- Tater Tots: CC added this to our order for her young son to eat since he was also with us at the brunch picnic. I was able to try some and I liked them. But I mean, how can you go wrong with tater tots?

Because the brunch meal came with dessert (coffee cake), I didn't get any of their cupcakes when I picked up my order. But I've had their cupcakes before (years ago) and I think I liked them, so they're definitely worth checking out if you're in the area! And they have a cute shop on Colorado that I wish I had taken photos of. Oh...
