Amazing yerba mate bar!!!

If you haven't tried yerba mate before, this is a great place to start. They have a delicious array of sweet, fruity, minty, and tangy blends to satisfy any palate. The cold brewed yerba mate blends are on draft, and shaken drinks are made to order for a super fresh, personalized drink!

One of my favorite blends is a mix of the ginger lime and hibiscus lemon (included in photos). The tulsi passion is my fiance's favorite as a sweet, tropical tea. The bartender's special and the guava rooibos are also refreshingly delicious. I've also enjoyed the agave latte with oat milk - a sweet and creamy milk tea (and vegan!).

We have been ordering the larger growlers from Erva to enjoy at home during quarantine, so being able to enjoy the original blends as well as a few new mixes at their new shop has been a great bonus.

They serve several food items as well. I've tried the seasonal fruit and samosa empanadas - both delicious! The chifle and cancha serve as a nice snack while sipping on your tea.

Overall, it's a relaxing environment with a kick of energy. They have appropriate safety measures in place for covid, so it also feels very safe to enjoy my drinks here. All of the drinks are vegan, and the food options are either vegetarian or vegan. I love their selection; I'm hooked on their yerba...

Erva is undoubtedly one of Pasadena's hidden gems! Like many people I'm sure, my experience with yerba mate for the most part has been bitter cans from the grocery store. But this has opened my eyes to the world of mate! I love their "bar" setup, it feels approachable and friendly and Tiffany and Juan are so warm and knowledgeable! Don't be intimidated, ask questions and get recommendations 😁. I've tried just about everything and I really think you can't go wrong. Each one has great layers of flavor with hints of tea and fresh elements. You can definitely taste the passion they put into it!
