Hippo Burgers — Restaurant in Pasadena

This place is nice enough. The young lady at the counter was friendly. Upon looking at the menu, I quickly selected the avacado and grilled onion burger. I upgraded to the meal. The burger price was$8.99 with fries, a small drink, and tax, and the price almost doubled. Yips. That was the first time that had happened. I paid and hoped. I really hoped that the burger would be outstanding. The counter girl brought me my food and sat the food down in front of me. My first thought was holy cow turds that sucker was big. It stopped there. I cut my giant 1/2 burger in half. I could taste the guacamole and the grilled onions. The meat lacked flavor and was pretty darn greasy. A bit of seasoning might have made the flavor of the meat pop. It does not take much. Overall, the food filled me to the belly button, and that was good. There was no beer. I just had this delivered and it’s a hell yeah from me. I ordered the #3 Special burger or whatever, some chilly cheese tots and a chocolate shake that was advertised to be made with Blue Bell ice cream. As I’m eating this burger I believe it. They could probably have me believing all kinds of stuff without any evidence or questions from me. Hey Hippo Burger guys and gals… don’t get any ideas. That was a real treat. It’s close to being one of the best burgers I’ve ever had and I don’t even know what it’s close to. I can’t think of anything right now that comes near it at this price range. Worst experience eating anywhere and customer service . Went for the 1st time with my family for dinner here. The cashier mixed up my kids order mistakes happen I get it. then apparently completely forgot my order. When we asked about my food after waiting 15mins everybody else getting their food the cashier said it was never ordered even though I was the FIRST person to order my meal. My fiancé told the cashier to just order my meal. Wait another 10 to 15 mins and my meal was never ordered after waiting still for my food. All to just be told by a manager or another employee that it wasn’t added to the receipt even though we told the cashier to add it.
